  1. Hi all trying to get some general info together before i have a price heart attack at powerstation when i go for a tune

    Engine is a semiclosed block wrx sti (v5) ej207 with metal head gaskets

    Injectors 440cc

    Version 6 J2 ecu

    VF28 turbo (water-oil fed)

    Forge bov (have standard aswell so can revert to original)

    Top mounted sti intercooler (with standard bonnet scoop)

    Any idea what a safe max tune can reach on that kinda setup before more upgrades are required???

    And what the most cost effective way to go about it would be?

Hi guys n girls new to subarus as of last week my 98 sti has just started to develope a blue puff in the morning when i start up,as far as i can tell it doesnt smoke after that only on start up its an initial cloud which starts to disipate straight after and smells oily any ideas as to what this could be?

    2nd thing i noticed is in 5th if im cruising about 60mph and floor it boost comes in strong seems to ease off a little then comes back strong again

    as far as i know engines a stock sti with metal gaskets and new fuel regulator

    as for oil level dropping i cant tell as i havent driven much so that im not sure of? noticed a little oil above the recirc bov on the topmount intercooler(both standard fit?

    any help would be appreciated

Anyone know what kind of power a p1 gearbox with the final drive ration of 4.14 can safely handle? as im heading to scoobyclinic next month to have the engine looked over and have a map im wondering before i start buying injectors and a larger capacity turbo what the safe limit is? it unlikely im going to be doing any drag type starts but the last thing i want to have too worry about is blowing the diff or gearbox

    any advise would be much appreciated as this is my 1st subaru and ive only had her sice friday currently its pushing a nats hair under 330bhp.

  4. ty appreciated:) needs a clean and a map i know very little about scoobs but always loved them any idea if a j2 type r ecu(what ever that is) can be remapped some place like scoobie clinic?

    i want to get it remapped asap as its got intercooler injectors exhaust panel filter fuel regulator.... going to try push for between 330-350 when i have a walbro pump to replace the p1 stock pump.

  5. Hi all having wanted a scooby since about 23 i finally 10 years later got round to it and picked up a 98 metalic green 4 door seems mildly moddified but very much oem outside(which is my style)

    Full Subaru Ej20 Semi Closed Block Fully Rebuilt One Year Ago All Genuine parts

    Uprated Bottom End Bearigns

    P1 Pistons Rods Etc

    J2 Type R ECU

    P1 Fuel Pump

    Mint Vf 28 turbo

    Forge Motorsport Dumpvalve

    Uprated Fuel Regulator

    440cc Injectors

    HKS Turbo Timer

    Metal Head Gaskets

    Full 3 Inch Exhaust System De-cated

    Blitz Rear Box

    P1 Ty754vbaaa Gearbox No Crunchs with 4.444 Center Diff

    P1 And Type R Rear Diff And Prop 4.444

    P1 Drive Shafts

    No idea what the power is will be getting it delimited soon and i guess will need it all set up on the rolling road

    Engine bay is so clean its unreal and car isnt bad not a show car for sure but defenetly clean enough with only 2 patches to sort on front and read bumpers.....

    interior is another matter though seats are good but i think he lived of fast food and smokes? it needs a blimin good shampoo and new roof card..

    will post piccies when i get a chance.
