agreed i cant even imagine majority of insurance companies even insuring you at 17 these days and frankly the majority of younger drivers would have an accident in an sti without a few years experiance,its hard too appreciate how fast powerful and unforgiving a subaru could be in the hands of someone thats just passed their test im 33 now and i still pay just under 400 to insure it best advise as above get 3-4 years no claims and some experiance 1st then get 1 other wise you cough up a rediculous amount of cash to get it on the road and the chance of a crunch is risky... I started off with mk1 fiesta of all things nova-corsa escort rs turbo bmw then me 1st subi golfs can be fun and cheap and pretty strong cars somehing like an old golf driver if u can get 1 insured still 1800cc nippy fun and practical so too speak?

hi all quick question Do all subaru impreza classics have the wiring for electric level adjustment on the headlights? as i have the level adjust switch however i cannot see the appropriate connect(s) under the bonnet my car is a 98 import by the look of it? my new headlights (to replace morette headlights)have the level adjust motors fitted

ah so wasn't what i had anyways reason i thought that i have no boost gauge atm but im decatted and seen a link between boost-creep decat i missunderstood the term then and ty for clearing that up

fixed! impatient and knowing i wont sleep till i have eliminated at least 1 attempt took a torch and fair lipsquid over all the boost hoses(no leaks so cleaned boost solenoid with t/b-carb cleaner then proceeded to 180 puling out onto the main road hmm shows how used to a set level of power you get then when its running right that extra punch took me by suprise nm no damage just a little embarresment lol

Can anyone give me an indication as to what wastegate creep would feel like ??? Went out tonight 15 mins warming up taking it easy then got out of town hoofed it boost started building as normal but definately didnt feel like it was pulling as hard as usual... felt like boost came on 60% then eased off and stayed that way? is that a symptom of creep or something else?? a couple of days ago thinking back it felt like i was boosting up 2 times with my foot flat on the floor boost came in strong then appeared too ease off then returned just doesnt feel the same now? any tips suggestions etc would be much appreciated so i can actually get some sleep tonight of note engine ran smooth no abnormal behaviour no smoke sounds etc however when i drive with the window open i can hear the turbo spoling up but also sounds like air is leaking or venting like a constant but somewhat gently hiss? engine is sti v5 vf28 turbo stock recirculating bof.
