Im looking at doing an oil change at some point this week, the last twice i have used comma xtech 5w30 as recomended by subaru, what im wondering is, is this what i should be puting in, my car is 2004 wrx that has been modded and produces 280bhp but the car has also done 95,000 miles, should i be looking at using a thicker oil, a fully synthetic or semi synthetic etc, or am i ok sticking to what im using, the car uses about 1 litre of oil every 1000 miles or so.

It all might be in your head aswell paul, your mind is saying shite supermarket fuel but when you put in vpower you might be thinking better product so therefore car should run better.

I run mine on tesco, no probs here, i use v power when i can get to a tesco. Where i live in bellshill there is a tesco and shell across road from each other, i grudge the extra 4p a litre that shell charge over tesco. Your ecu should alter your ignition timing due to them being self learning to compensate for fluctuations in fuel etc, you might need to run it on one type of fuel for a wee while for this to happen im not sure.

For me it would be various different historical rally cars like the audi S1, lancia intagrale, toyaota celica gt4, all the different versions of the impreza's. To me rally cars in tarmac spec are the ultimate road cars.

Im quite impressed with the maxxis i got, ive driven them on a mix of wet, damp, greasy and dry roads in the last 24hrs, cant report any lack of grip so far.

Was a pretty good turn out today, all 7 of us from sidc, turned out to be a cracking day though, plenty of banter and a few surpises. Hope there was a good amount raised for yorkhill. Didnt win any whiteline goodies, was hoping for some droplinks, oh well, cant have it all, i still walked away with a smile, well a massive grin actually.
