  1. Hi all. I've had my standard 2007 WRX for over a year now so it's time to get some mods sorted. Going to go for STI intercooler, decat down pipe, walbro fuel pump, panel filter and a remap from somebody trustworthy ( Andy Forrest seems to be recommended a lot ). So the question is how much cash will I need to have to buy the parts and how easy will they be to source? Any other advice is welcomed!! Martin.
  2. My 30k service on a 2007 hawkeye was £270 at Steve Whitsons (SW Motorsport). That included oil, oil filter, air filter, plugs, gearbox oil, diff oil and labour. The MOT at Hunters was £29.95........passed no problem!! Cheers.
  3. I took my car for an MOT at Hunters as mentioned above as I stay in Linlithgow but no one told me about a clued up service engineer! Never had any issues with them when i took previous cars there though. Steve Whitson was my choice for a service and I intend on going back to him when I have cash to get some upgrades done as he knows his stuff!!
  4. Must be a small company cause I stay in Linlithgow and haven't heard of them!! Will see what I can find out and let you know.
  5. Let us know what the DVD is like and if it's worth buying. May order one for myself. The guy is all over the wheel like an octopus at the sideways moment! Got to be good to see on a big tv.
  6. I got Stainless creations in Falkirk to make me an exhaust. Im sure they could supply and weld on a new tail pipe. They had a selection of sizes and styles. Went for the 3inch outward rolled one mzself!
  7. Penicuik/Dalkeith.......near Edinburger anyway!! Thanks for the geography lesson. Will check out a few places around the area. Cheers.
  8. Thanks for the welcome and the info guys. Will go to a few places and speak them just to put my mind at ease. Im worried that the last place that serviced it stuck in any old oil that was lying around as I made the mistake of getting it serviced AFTER I had bought it!! Heres to trouble free motoring! Cheers. M.
  9. Hey All. I'm a newbie needing advice. Got a 2007 WRX that I have owned for about 5 months and have had no issues with so far. I want it to stay this way so, since it will be due its 30000mls service soon, need to know the best place to go. I stay about 20 mins from Grieves Subaru in Falkirk and about 30 mins from Noble at Dalkeith. Will there be much difference in the standard of servicing between the two? Is there anything I specifically need to ask them to do at the service ie.transfer diff oil, filters etc or do they have a set procedure they follow? Dont want to sound paranoid about Subaru reliability but just want to look after it!! Any advice is appeciated. Car is un-modded except for cat back exhaust. Thanks. M.
