I don't know what time I will get there at as I need to drop my other car off at the garage. I'm also crap at getting up early!
-
Here's hoping the weather holds. Looking forward to this.

Glad I don't have a wide track STI.... I wouldn't even cycle down some of the narrow roads I've been down!

Not got decent pics yet but here's some I took with my iPhone: http://www.flickr.com/x/t/0096009/photos/44759867@N00/8420207597/ http://www.flickr.com/x/t/0095009/photos/44759867@N00/8420205895/ http://www.flickr.com/x/t/0093009/photos/44759867@N00/8420207215/ http://www.flickr.com/x/t/0096009/photos/44759867@N00/8420206327/ http://www.flickr.com/x/t/0099009/photos/44759867@N00/8421305194/

Up at lodge on Loch Lomond with the scoob, a Nikon d3200, oh.... And the wife..... It's our wedding anniversary! Got to be a good photo opportunity coming soon...... Watch this space!

I use these tyres all year round and have to admit find them a bit of a let down on the snow. They're fine for the rest of the year though and as money is tight I can't justify a winter set of tyres as I still made it through last winter without getting stuck!!

Just roll the windows down and drive through tunnels all day..... No more drone in the cabin, just big grins!! Simples!

I would of bought an STI if I had the cash but could only afford the WRX. Wanted the newest I could get for my money. I've had it a year now so want to liven it up a bit so modding is the way forward. I don't intend on going for huge power gains but up to the 280ish will do.
-
That's good to hear. Time to go spending I think! Cheers for the replies.

I saw the group buy for the janspeed that's what got me thinking about doing the mods now. Already got a cat back ss exhaust on so want something that will pass an MOT in the downpipe. Brakes will need to happen soon Kenny. It's going to be an expensive month. I'm thinking buy the bits, get SW to do 5 yr service and add the goodies on, AF remap then save for better brakes.
-
Hi all. I'm trying to work out how much cash I will need. I currently have a standard 2007 WRX that is itching for some mods. I'm going to go for a Sti TMIC, Walbro fuel pump, panel filter, 100 cel sports cat and an Andy F remap to liven it up a bit. The plan is to get someone to give the car it's 5 year service then fit the bits( Steve Whitson will be my preferred choice) then head off for the remap. I'm looking for a guide price so I know how many pennies to have sat aside before I start buying the parts. Cheers. Martin.

After spending ages trying to decide what tyres to get I eventually stuck with what was on the hawk already and today got 4 X Bridgestone Potenza re050 215.45.17. They seem to be a good allrounder and I got them for a reasonable price- £465 fitted and balanced, so thanks to Hunters of Linlithgow. Now for a run to break them in!!
-
Nice. Thanks. They are cheaper so suits me fine. Just wanted to make sure they would fit the standard WRX alloys without causing any issues :-)
-
Thanks for all the options. I was on a website that asked you to type in your reg and it would choose the tyres for you. Problem is it suggested 225.45.17 where as I have 215.45.17 on the car just now. What is correct?? The 225's are cheaper than the 215's!!

Hi all. Need tyres for the hawk and need a kick up the @rse to actually go and get them! My problem is that I don't want to be spending money on great tyres that I won't put to good use, by that I mean the car is a standard WRX and will never be on a track and isn't driven particularly hard. Have got a price of £480 for 4 Mich potenza's but should I be looking for cheaper options ie lower quality tyres ?? Advice please before I get pulled over for having the slicks on!!! Cheers. Martin

As above.... Another vote for Steve Whitson! Great guy, great pricing too.

Bog standard VTS. W reg. Im the 2nd owner. I think it has done about 62000miles. Power steering packed in so parked it up at the back of the house. Not moved for a year or so!!! Was intending to get it running and use it as a toy but bought an MG that is now lying all over my garage!
-
Do you have a Saxo? I happen to know of a VTS that is lying around......,
-
All good. Thanks.

Cheers for the info. Does pipework need to change when swapping the TMIC? Any thoughts on best filter? Green? Am I right to think that I should get around 280bhp? Questions, questions, questions!! Sorry!
