Used Bitz on my 2005 2.0 WRX last service for all oils, plugs etc (not timing belt) and came to £370 with 10% off labour for SIDC members. Seemed fine.

We'll be at Daviot as it's only a mile away. First car starts 09-19 and course is slightly shorter and reverse ie west to east as apposed to previous years.

I see there's another post for a TT circuit visit, any ideas when would be best to avoid TT season and masses of tourists as well as other SIDC events? Fancy a run when you're up north anytime just give us a shout, roads are dead!

Found this clip today, only 5 months late! SIDC Highland Fling leaving John O Groats in the only mist on a blue sky weekend.

I should be about 18th and 25th.

Any dates for the previously posted Highland run with our Evo "friends". I know some of us are off to the Ring (enjoy) but some idea of date assuming it's still a goer would be great.

Sorry haven't worked this posting thing out yet but pics certainly good enough for a second viewing and look forward to joining the next trip.

I'm pretty sure this will have been suggested 1000+ times before but after the excellent Highland Fling this May (thanks again Dave) I was wondering if the TT course is something anyone fancies a weekend at? It seems many sections are unrestricted and going by the TV footage of the race week the roads look interesting! If you've already done this please tell me about it and the pros & cons.

Thanks smmc Will probably go for 22mm arb only. With this mod do you know what geometry setting for fast road without shredding inside tyres tread or making car unstable on straights/motorways? Currently having worn outside fronts and even wear on rears though no idea if geo is set at stock or what. Cheers

Dave, Looking at a fast road geometry set up. If I go for uprated anti roll bar(s) can I uprate just rear to maybe an sti (assume they are stiffer) or do I need front and rear? If so are sti ones same as I have now or a good upgrade? Recommendations anyone. Seem to have left a fair amount of outside edge front rubber up north!! assume 1 dgree neg camber would help?

Thanks Dave, Where is my nearest recommended for geometry set up? I wasnt aware of ppp exhaust removing any of the standard cats, just read that a decat downpipe would give 20-30 bhp alone! Anyone fancy a stage 1,2,3 etc tuning options breakdown list for the uninitiated in this wonderful science. Cheers

Which part of exhaust, decat downpipe? Which panel filter? Would I need a remap? Prodrive pack has mild remap I think! Dont want to lower car so any options? Would i notice difference and in what way? Like the idea of better consumption (in theory). Thanks

Good weekend, learnt plenty about my car and my own limitations!! seems to be mainly bottle or lack of it and self preservation. Car was brilliant even on crap tyres and standard everything else. A few of you asked whether I would modify anything but after further discussion the argument about diminishing returns sounded very sensible. Now the dust has settled (literally) I may well be looking at a wee tinker and am wanting some advise; car is currently '05 WRX PPP with Godspeed brake upgrade. If tuning to "stage one" ie cheaper quick gains how does a panel filter and I think decat downpipe sound? Was advised over the weekend about loads of options and am grateful to all for that, they ranged from braided brake lines to just buy an STI. Any thought folks, not too technical for me please.

Hi all you scooby enthusiasts. Just got my own (05 wrx ppp in silver) so thought it made sense to join up. Anything going on in the Inverness ish area? Who do you recommend for servicing (Bitz already mentioned). Will be looking for a diff guard, any advise?
