<< 1600?! If that's peak what is it in real watts (ie RMS)? That's way cheap for that catch can - bloody bargain!! Waht's with the manifold though Dave, is it some fancy one or just a spare standard one? I've got a spare normal one I could have given you dude! >> Works out at 640 - 800 watts RMS depending on how I wire the second amp up. The red crackle paint flakes on the STI's so easier to work on second one than try and rush removing, stripping and painting one in a weekend then get it back on the car. Standard one, cheers for the offer dude but yours is phase 1, mine is phase 1.5.

<< Its a Hillman Imp I reckon >> Quickest Hillman Imp I've been in!

Think I should start a new thread with this lot. My e-bay bargain turned up yesterday, so I stripped it last night in preparation for a bit of diy porting and polishing. In a bit of a mess. Inlet 1 Ingnition leads, coil pack and idle control valve removed. Inlet 2 The mess of fuel pipes that will be removed and replaced with a parallel fuel setup. Inlet 3 Fuel rails, injectors and air inlet removed. Inlet 4 Inlet 5 Inlet 6 And the poor casting finish that am hoping to remove. Inlet 7 And a quick clean with a wire brush. Inlet 8 Inlet 9 Tune in next week for more of Dodgy Daves Diy!. lol

<< That catch can is hella tasty Dave - good work!! That cable is a bit mad though! Bike is outside the house now as there's not enough room in the kitchen. Got both new tyres on today, front wheel back on & front brake calipers on. Swingarm removed, taken to bare metal, primed & sprayed, and shock/spring stripped down, and cleaned/painted reaassembled. Quite a bit done now and it can all go back together. Still has to go through its test after that though. >> Cheers Jim, not bad for $480 hey and 304 stainless steel too. I know, I tried to get a 2 gauge kit but could'nt find one at a reasonable cost so had to buy overkill 0 gauge to cover 1600watts! (Peak) I?m sure it will pass dude. PS Hong Kong Dollars so it only cost £32. lol

Project Tart continues dudes. Fitted oil catch can as was getting way to much oil in inlet tract. Cant have the car running on 2 stroke. Catch Can Also pulled the new power cable through the bulk head for me new amp/sub setup. Power Cable And due to the bigger cable I need to install a slightly bigger fuse.! Fuse

<< Anyone still up for going to this? >> Dont think it's going to happen Jimmy, sorry mate. Planning on JAE instead now as get a full weekend and time for a few drinks etc. Plus dont have to cut things short trying to get to the boat in time.
-
<< Is Dave working hard again , he has not been on for sometime.... >> lol, aye waiting for hard drives to sort the hotel server. 2 weekends cancelled now expecting to do a re-install to then have it all go out the window at last minute. Suppose to be doing it this weekend now but could end up being next weekend, can?t organise nowt. Andi, if am off I'll sort fitting the sensor.

<< Morning Dudes! All was not right with my back tyre this morning, getting far too much wheelspin. >> Mornin dudes, you sure it's not a to aggressive wrist action Jimmy?! << Hi dudes , does anyone know where I can get some Meguiars car polish on the I.O.M for the scoobys .. >> Dodgy Daves Garage has stock! Not that I know of mate, ordered mine online direct from Megs. Spotted this morn Nick, car still looking sweet.

How's this for a bargain dudes?
-
<< Morning dudes, gauge showed about 1.3bar in 1st & second this morning. Almost felt like the front wheels were about to lose traction for a second! >> Sweet Jim, have things smoothed out though?
-
<< Am fairly certain the intercooler pump has packed up though as the cooler was hot earlier on andf they're not supposed to get hot at all. >> You know you want the bling of that front mount.
-
Jim might be worth giving all the pipe work a good going over then. Between that, the split pipe and the outer sheath on that pipe under the charge cooler the rest may not be to far behind. As you said given the age of the pipework it is brittle.
-
No worries fella's enjoy doing it anyway. Cant say no when fed bacon butties. Sweet, Jim you'll be runnin smooth with plenty of fluttering, popping, banging, farting and any other noise soon.
-
Jim, I would put the old bit of pipe back on between the charge cooler and inlet, as we could'nt confirm it was sealing at the bottom. Other than that all pipes are right, mind you finding that split pipe the ecu may need a reset if its been like that since L Day as its expecting to see it, am not sure. Other than that could be the exhasut gasket on downpipe leaking dude to its condition, but dont hink that would cause those isssues.

<< Glad to hear she seems to be on the bend Richard, that's a horrible & scary thing to happen. Hope all is well soon. Andi - Dave - all bow before the might of the stud remover. I'm sure it was laughing as it twisted the turbo studs out with ease just now. They are all out now, and the manky nuts on the up-pipe didn't really present a problem although I had to get medieval on one of them with a cold chisel & a lump hammer. Didn't even have to fire up the blowtorch! It's going on tomorrow. >> Tools are still in the car fella if you need a few more hands. Mornin dudes.
-
<< Mornin' Dudes & Dudesses How's Sindy? Has anyone heard??? >> Margy rang me last night, she was showing signs of recovery last night when they left her at the vet, so here's hoping for Sindy. Sure Richard will post up some time this morning.

<< << And a very good plan two birds and all that.. >> Really? Can I come too? Oh, I think i misunderstood..... >> Am with Jimmy on this one two birds, sod work. lol Just put all me gear together ready.
-
<< Dude - of course! And den? I want to get mine fitted too but am waiting for my mate to do the carbon fibre panel he's making for me.... >> Why dont you bring your stuff along Jim dude, as you can put the senders in and route the cables through the bulkhead ready. All scoobs welcome, no Evo's though. Pmsl only joking Richard.

<< You keeping well Dave? >> Fine thanks Bob, hows yourself and the family? Where are you off to this year on your hols?
