Toyo T1R's all the way - good in the wet, great in the dry and have a harder shoulder then the T1-S's picture above Good year get rave reviews too. Tyre deals in the member section too. If you are paying a lot fo those rims be fussy who fits the tyres dude ! CGS Yeh I'm cacking it about getting the tyres fitted when I took off the Re70's the garage I used scratched all the wheels. I used to fit tyres many many moons ago so I know the score (well hopefully no scoring). I used to fit all my tyres myself but the place I used stopped it due to Health and safety - Not an employee and all that insurance / risk rubbish. Place in willowbank rd have the right machine for doing low profile tyres that has a little wheel that pushes the sidewall under the rim but they quoted £25 a tyre for supplying your own new tyres. They are trying to protect themselves from Internet sales but the best way to do that is not quoting £150 per tyre against £106 from mytyres.
-
Yeh there quoting £106 ea which i thought was good. But I have heard that local tyre fitting centres are charging a premium on Internet tyres for fitting [:^)]
-
Aye but IIRC mytyres are quoting £173 a tyre [8-)]

Now need to decide which tyres! Narrowed it down to these 3 choices. Fan of the Goodyear GSD3 as I have used them in the past Like the Vredestein and they make good winters These are good too, As Yokohama make the wheels might be cool to get the tyres too. These wheels will only be used in the late spring to early Autumn and have a set of winter wheels and track wheels so don't need a focused winter or track tyre. So a good wet tyre is what I'm after. The goodyears I reckon are excellent in the wet but thats not to say there isn't better out there. Has/Is anyone using the Vredesteins or Yokohamas? Cheers in advance for any advice

these are really smart like, what colour you gettin? Finally settled on Gold, took me ages to decide and even after ordering gold still wasn't sure but happy with my choice now. Only bummer is I wanted 19" but they don't do 19" in 100pcd
-
glad to hear your finally getting them mate, a bit of a long wait though.. I hope my wheels arrive sooner than that when I order them from envy. Look forward to seeing some piccies of yours You will probably get them alot quicker. It should have been 5 weeks but as I needed the 100pcd in gold which they didn't have in stock and they weren't doing a run until end of September I had to wait 8 months. Only found out they were going to take that long after about 3 months but after looking at different wheels still wanted the Advans and decided to wait. I know they had the 114.3 pcd in stock at the time. I recommend you agree a deposit with Gareth as I paid mine upfront before I knew they would take months to arrive. Requested a 90% refund until delivery and agreed on 75% but never got it. They are worth waiting for being delivered tomorrow. Some luvly bling for Xmas.

Returned from the bar last night (Well early this morning) and watched your creation and was chuffed to see my car in it. Watched it again and and my car is gone :-( Thought I maybe had 1 beer to many last night but realise that the photo you used was probably one of the copyright ones you mentioned as it was taken at Knockhill. It's a great photo too. I'll have to take some myself.

Aye Craig that would be sound and if you could just sort out the bill at the same time that would be magic! :-)

I agree with most of the comments in this thread so basically should stay sitting on the fence. But!! I mod my car to improve it not to beat anyone else hence the reason I have stopped where I am now and I'm happy. Should something break then I would go looking for an improved part. Looking to do some appearance inhancing mods now. Also a bit surprised Craig, because you do like to have a bit of banter about whos's going to whip who and that's in no way a critisism of you it's good for crack and part of the enjoyment of SIDC. I think I know what you might be getting at though. There does seem to be a very small bit of - you can't be putting out that! or you were only faster because! In the end sharing experiences and talking is a big part of the SIDC and helps us all when we encounter problems or need advice so we should keep on trucking!!!!

"I think they were using some of Dastek's old software but the operator said the new software will be arriving in 2 weeks". This is the same as WP. Believe he has been waiting ages for his software update. Nice BHP Pete - now we will see some close battles with Blue Thunder, this is getting interesting. Modding is fun, I'm almost wishing for something to break so I can go to stage 2. Can't justify it to the wife otherwise, Unless I mention flames coming out the back then she gets all excited.
