Away on the 13th for 3 weeks then off on Holidays. How.s the Family? Hiv you selt Blue thunder yet? Are the boys meetin up the morns night?
  4. Craig, He went away yesterday so he may not have got your PM yet!
  5. Not looking likely Squirrel. The Missus wasn't too happy! Conservetory, Garden walls, new staircase etc etc. You know the score! I am trying to persuade her that we keep the Scooby and sell her car and she can run the Scooby day 2 day. 2 problems there as Julie pointed out, the cost of fuel and the fact that at the moment the Honda is her car, but If I keep the Scoob it will still be my car and I would flip if she damaged it or didn't look after it like one of the kids. So she says it has to go! I haven't given in yet though! []
  6. Andy yer a fair tool min !!!!! Also loved the RCM classic Motor. I knew I should have bought a classic instead of a newage!
  7. Cheers Lads Got to admit that after seeing the new scoob I was tempted by the Evo X but that would just be going too far []. So decided if the next car wasn't going to be a scooby then I needed something more track focused. Upgrade kit will be available to take it to 250Bhp @ 700kg. Don't have to sign a binding deal until the final figures are out i.e Delvery date (Going by production rate I reckon end of 2008), Final price, Final weight (700kg is approx). Looks dead brilliant (as our WCC's would say) WCC = West Coast Cousins. Only thing I find strange is that it is carbon fibre monocoque etc etc but it is still 200kgs heavier than a Caterham R400. Either the Audi engine is a heavy brute or the rest of the car is made of lead [] But it does look awesome compared to a Caterham.
  8. Should find out final price and delivery date end of summer and that's when the deposit has to be paid.
  9. Don't like the new scooby so put my name down for a KTM X-bow, what do you reckon? http://www.ktm-x-bow.com/Gallery.624.0.html
  10. If it looks like that then I would defo consider one. But some off the previous pictures are scary. Scary enough to make me consider moving to the dark side. Like the thought of the hot hatch, and as I've mentioned before especially if it makes the Impreza more competitive in the WRC. I think the saloon is more practical for me. I'm going to wait until Litchfield imports them and make my mind up. May still venture to the dark side!
  11. Aye you won't be disapointed with Blue Thunder, she's a beast and blue is the fastest colour []
  12. There was a thread that mentioned that very car. Love everything about it and if I thought that I could get one in this country around the same price as they were estimated in Japan I would have one. Type RA-R rarer than an RB320 and IMHO a better car. Have looked in Litchfield site every day in hope but no sign of a few wise purchases, especially as the 08 isn't looking too promising.
  13. NAE HAPPY!!!!!!!!! [] When I first posted my time IIRC i was # 15 which I was perfectly happy with considering the amount of high power newage and classics in front of me. Now I'm # 25. Well I was waiting to see what the 2008 car looked like but can't say I like it much, so maybe time for stage 2 on the OLD NEWAGE. First I need to catch the wife at the right moment! [] Which is normally the first night home after a month away [] [Y]
  14. I like the idea of the shorter wheel base Scooby. Hopefully it will bring back the WRC glory days although the saloon is more practical for me. I agree - best to wait for the final pics. The story is that Subaru want to go more upmarket so should be better quality interiors.
  15. This is nae one O your tractors Farmer Broon
  16. Stephen your idea is no as daft as it sounds. I know a few of the Caterham guys run with there directionals the wrong way round and they reckon it gives even better grip. Admittedly I'm no so sure about in the wet but certailnly in the dry you would be safe enough no probs! May work out differently on a scooby though as usual take it easy for a few laps and if it's wet you can keep your road tyres on. Change them from LF rim to RB rim etc would cure your problem but unless you know someone it might not be worth the cost.
  17. Got my AST / Whitline ARB F & R and Anti lift kit before Xmas but still to get it fitted though!
  18. The Andy F treatment still makes me smile everytime I put the foot down although I'm trying to resist the temptation but sticking the foot down when in 5th is magic []
  19. [] I aquired the name on a trip to Italy - a sarcastic dig at my laid back and unhurried approach to everything.. Unhurried approach to everything - you have bought the wrong car! []
  20. AHHHHH, he should be OK then and I wasn't throwing stones! []
  21. I have a different angle on this one! IS 118MPH a dangerous or high speed. I know he was a police officer and if it was a punter he would get done but I still think in a modern car which has much improved brakes, suspension and tyres that 118 isn't very fast or dangerous. Although I do think there "EXCUSE" is very doggy. Carrying out a risk assessment. I am very familiar with risk assessments and I would have imagined since this was an "ACCIDENT BLACKSPOT" that part of the initial risk assessment before they travelled the road would have been - Task = Drive on public road at high speed Potential Accident or injury = Crash, damage to vehicle, serious body injury or death Preventitive measure = Use correct PPE (always in there - crash helmet) Non essential personnel to keep clear of area (close the road). Have accident response team available (Ambulance) in case of accident. [][][][] You get the idea.
  22. Speeding past a School - never a good idea. I am totally happy to see speed cameras outside schools! IMO that is what they are for. I have had 6 speeding tickets in 23 years of driving and all on Dual carriage ways, some in town - some out and the highest was 17 miles over the limit.
  23. OK OK - it's a fast bucket! After some spicy nosh the night I will hey flames coming oot the back ana.
