Open the bootlid and put the heat on from that side, that way you really shouldn't damage the paint unless you completely bake it. Plenty of slow heat from a hairdryer or heatgun, and fishing line or something thin! Tardis or something similar( wd40 works too) and a microfibre cloth to remove the excess, and then it will prob need a clay bar and a polish to remove the ghosting.
