That's a pity that you didn't get to drive it today. Keep us posted as to how you get on. It actually sounds exactly like the car i'm after. Even the colour suits. It is right at the top end of my budget though. I'd be very tempted myself if it was a few months down the line. But that's the problem i've found while looking for an Impreza - the prices vary wildly. I've seen a few that are inside my budget, but i've also seen some that are about £3k more expensive for pretty much the same car. That was why I joined here - for more info and to find out if the examples that are within my budget are a big risk. Best thing you can do is try and take someone with you who knows a good bit about them.

You sound like you're in the same position as me mate, except i'm not quite ready to buy just yet. Difficult to come by aren't they? I'm not quite as strict as you regarding mileage though it has to be under 100k. And i'm only ruling out a silver one as i've owned 3 silver cars and feel like a change. Not sure if I can answer your question but i've been looking for a while and i've never seen a solid bright red. Report back on how your test drive went, if you don't mind. I've driven a couple but they have all been heavily modded ones and they were saloons.

That's great that you're getting a foam lance. I've always been impressed by the way it turns a car white. Keep saying i'm gonna invest in one myself. As said, it softens and loosens a lot of the dirt so that when you do wash the car with a wash mitt etc, you're not going over as much dirt on the paintwork.

Thanks again for the words of wisdom. It's good to know there are people close by who may be able to help with issues, should they arise. I certainly see (and hear) plenty of Subaru's driving by where I live. Keep jumping up to the window to see what it is.
