  1. Very much a last minute request I know, but I'm off on my travels to look at a nice little Classic tomorrow and realised that I'll be deafened on my travels back North if I do end up buying it.

Does anyone in the Glasgow/Central area have a 4" Exhaust Bung I'd be able to borrow off you today ahead of my journey tomorrow? Cheers, Phil.

  2. I had 18" Innovite Tarmac that fitted over my Bug STi Brembos no problem, possibly same offset as yours.

I'd say give them a go, but have some cheap spacers handy to bung on as a last resort, and go easy if you do use the spacers until you get replacement wheels or a set of hubcentric spacers :driving: .

  3. This would be your worst nightmare about your pride and joy! Thankfully I've got a Valet Map I can upload to the car in around 60 secs, and this basically limits the performance to buggery so there's no way the car can be revved or driven hard when in the garage :redcard: .

The hidden camera is def a good idea though  .

  4. I had a similar thing happen with my Bug STi. Turned out that one of the mounting lugs for the expansion bottle had come off and the rad fan had struck the bottle half way up and perforated it slightly. It was only when the contents rose up to that level that I'd get a leak and a small amount of steam where it dripped onto hot parts. Worth a proper check of the expansion bottle just in case :icon_salut: .

  5. What about the Legacy diesel estate? Ticks all the boxes in my books. Quite fancy one of these myself when its time to wave goodbye to the A4 quattro sport V6 TDi.

AWD, Boxer engine(remaps well so I'm told), Great mpg and has plenty of creature comforts if you get the top version (Heated leather, satnav, panoramic glass roof).

  6. Accomodation is booked solid 12 months in advance, but you may be able to get a pitch in a campsite if you're lucky. Deffo worth going over for the middle weekend (Mad Sunday) and taking in all the sights and there'#s lots to see and do outwith the actual racing ;o)

  7. With the iphone starting to lose popularity due to the emergence of the Android phones, I thought I'd start a thread for users to post up their favourite Android Apps.

Here's just a couple to start the ball rolling:

Rock Radio Player-internet connection to the best Classic Rock radio station around.(Free)

Play Golf App-uses GPS to give you ranges etc for a very accurate round of golf.(Free)

BBC iPlayer-for live and archived BBC television viewing.(Free)

SKY Remote-record with your sky+ box from anywhere.(Free)

  8. It makes for a decent upgrade, i had one on the RB & was better sounding than the Prodrive box

I put this very same Ninja II backbox on my Blobeye in place of the Prodrive one, but it was deemed to be a tad too loud for trying to sneak in/out the driveway quietly in the small hours of the morning due to my shiftwork.

If its extra throaty noise you want I'm sure it'll suit you down to the ground  .

  9. Kiera, when I used to do off-road Enduro biking on my KTMs I had a full upper body armour jacket similar to this one:

    Body Armour

It was very effective for my many offs, and very comfortable to wear all day on and off the bike. I got mine from the bay of E, as you'll get lots more choice than any one shop IMHO. I think Evans Cycles at Braehead has a decent range of 661 Downhill MTB armour which is as good as MX gear as well.

    Hope this helps  .
