  1. Top end is Advans but just can't warrant that sort of money. Cheaper end are Dare and Ultralite. If I could shift my own then middle of the road are Rota's or even OZ's. I'm worried about increasing the width as stones may chip the returns on the arches but the Yanks go pass the arches which look amazing. Need to find the weight on the existing to compare the options relative to cost. I don't know how well the flaps are working on mine either but I've got two hits in the protection tape by the rear wheel arches.
  2. I've polished the scratch out to the point I know its there but no one else would notice - says the wife It's the scuff and dent in the front bumper I'm more cheesed off about, someone reversed into it in a car park even though it was parked miles from anyone else. Which wheels are you looking at I can't make up my mind and have been watching the link to the yanks site as they all seem to change their wheels straight away.
  3. Hi Ben Long time no speak - someone on Scoobynet said you had painted your wheels grey but can't work it out from the photos if you have or not?
  4. How does this affect your warranty, have you discussed it with Subaru?
  5. I left two messages for him and was put on hold another time for the person to then comeback and say 'he's just put the phone down so I'll put through' which rang and then went to his anwer message so left another and waited and waited ...................................
  6. Had similar problems and have now been waiting 4 weeks for my refund from my cancelled insurance. Would have used them to change my existing insurance (with them) to my new car but they wouldn't return my calls and the dealer needed the certificate to tax the car so they have lost one customer.
  7. Is it a Subaru one, as didn't think they came as standard? Where did you purchase the car from can they not help?
  8. Not really it's only 5 miles down the road! Ben do we have speed cameras on the SatNav?
  9. It took 18 months to be converted having had a bug, a blob and two hawkeyes I said I would never buy a hatch but WOW the 330s is some beast and I haven't even let mine off the leash yet! I'm debating an all night trip to Scotland just to get her run in.......................................
  10. As heading suggests. Presumably I have to be a Full Member to advertise on here? Where else would anyone suggest, already on Pistonheads?
  11. I have just ordered a new car and have been offered the above for 200 quid. Does anyone recommend this or feel it is a waste of money? Never really ordered a car from new before!
  12. There is a Subaru Option now but they look **** though to be fair the pictures are quite small and 150 quid was as RA work out about 110 delivered at the moment.
  13. I just watched the installation video, I can't believe they actually tell you to drill a hole in the chassis as one option! Did you guys fit these yourselves? Are there still no 'exposed' mounting holes on the front - haven't purchased my car yet. I really wouldn't have the confidence to do this I would be petrified of damaging the bodywork, do you think a dealer would fit these for me not being one of their standard parts?
  14. Subaru still don't do a 'standard' yet, has anyone fitted some and who / what would they recommend?
  15. Agree with Reformed. As well as my wife I have colleagues and clients who think my car is lairy and chavy and its standard. I think its mainly the huge wing on the back - the sandwich basket handle as referred to at work. As a result I'm swaying to the Hatch
  16. All those out there with the Motorpoint, Motordepot, Graham Walker, David Hendry etc Sti's, what happens with your insurance does it count as an import as they have a bigger spec than a UK sti. If they do our premiums big, will household names like Direct Line touch them or do you have to go to specialists like Keith Michaels? Any information appreciated, I'm guessing there are a few out there.
  17. I may know of one in excellent condition with low miles I'll contact my mate but heck you could have my Hawkeye Sti with PPP for a bit more and she's only done 7,500 miles http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1030471.htm
  18. I like Pioneer BT900 but very expensive although this is the all singing and dancing model and they do lower specs. I found it looks more up to date than the equivalent Kenwood's particularly the graphics on display.
  19. No link just speculation and people stating sales figures for the last few months although I still can't get a dealer to give me a cracking deal.
  20. Its all doom and gloom over there, the end of the world (Subaru) is nigh......................anyone else heard this, I thought the American side was doing OK. People on Scoobynet blaming the current shape rather than the recession.
  21. I'd like a 330s so I'm not sure if this would make a deal better or worse particularly as the part/ex I have been offered from two different dealers is 3k different.
  22. Thanks and sorry to be pinching 'Paddy's' thread. How much profit do you think is in a 330s then? My nearest dealer with a 330s is over 100 miles away so not easy but my current Hawkeye Sti has PPP so I would hope it is equal if not better. What was the lead in time, are they made to order or is there a lock-up full of 330s? Finally can I ask the dealership you dealt with? Cheers
  23. Anyone managed a good deal on an impreza recently? Subaru are one of the few who are doing OK at the moment as sales are up on last year although this is all down to the Forester whose sales have doubled whilst all other models are down on last year. Any eager dealerships?
  24. Thanks for that. I'm also toying between the Sti and the 330s and wanted to ask as you have affectively had both how much difference have you found between the two and did it change the MPG much presumably worse? The 330s has the advantage of not going through specialist insurers due to modifications with adding PPP later.
