About carl hammond

  1. I will get you a price from my mate who has an agent in Japan if you like? Got prices as £413 for 1 or £396 per unit if 2 wanted If interested pm me guys
  2. That escort looks the nuts - 22b does also but the escorts rock :-)
  3. I totally agree with the kind of drivers and the descriptions you have made there, but there are far too many Over-confidents now days :-9
  4. I know what you mean, I used to do 140 miles round trip to see the g.friend every other day, it was horrible on motorways as the lack of sound deadening and comfort took its toll, so the only way to remember why I bought and kept it was to get on the twistiesa nd have a blast with a few cars such as evo's and scoobies to show how capable the cars are, they can keep with and best the mentioned quite easily in the right hands on the right surface. I am Carl hammond on itr-dc2.com forum mate :-) Same as here and skyline gtr, nsx, ek9 etc etc etc, forums also. Just seen your name, your under the same one or oen very similar on there arn't you?
  5. I agree, these are the tools who think BHP is everything and love their big BHP and power talk and know nothing more about cars. They dont think about power to weight, stiffening a chasis, upgrading brakes and components such as LCA's, Circuit Bars, Camber, H Braces, TYRES etc. They are the people who believe grip and handling are the same thing (when they are far from it), personally in all the cars I have owned I just let them get on with it, muppets, the DC2 was the best for it though as none of them knew what it was, got told it was a Civic a number of times????? But the EPc Civic owners have gone the Saxo route now and drive similarly :-( I just think with car prices depreciating so much and so quickly cars are bing mady ready and available for there nobs to buy them and so will ruin the reputation of all these cars. 2 years ago when I bought my DC2 96Spec you'd pay anything from 5K - 8K for a MINT one like mine, luckily I sold mine at a good time and got 6.8K and a J-Reg polo in part ex which I sold for £600, as 3 months later the prices started to drop and now you can buy them for anything from £3K upwards. Amazing cars for the price but people like the bloke who bought mine buy them and mine was smashed and written off within 6 days, as I even got the bill through for the recovery as the DVLA did not even have time to change the registration documents. Tools who cant drive and dont understand lift off oversteer, power to weight and chasis/brake/tyre importance should not drive imo.
  6. I am only in Kings Hill nr Maidstone, Kent mate and DVD will be shot around ehre / on Brands hopefully as I am in touch with a few people there for track use for it :-) I see your only up the road in croydon? Cool, I have to admit I may get a UKDM next time round as my 96spec was spotless throughout and regret selling it and would spend too much time comparing a new one to it looking for faults :-( So you got a scooby now? what one and how do you find the comparison?
  7. I know what you mean mate, also its his kind that will kill or hurt someone else but drive away from it un-injured :-(
  8. Trust me if you buy one ever you will see why I liked and still like them so much as you would not regret it
  9. I know someone with one mate and am in the process of lining it up to be in a DVD I am bringing out for Honda's with my brother as he is a production manager and has a contact within a major DVD motorsport distribution business. We are then looking at one for the Subaru Impreza, so if you fancy popping along to the day when filming that car then come along and see it in the flesh and I can keep you posted. DC2's rock mate - I miss mine and love it but that (the FD2 Mugen RR) is amazing and I do know my best mates looking at possibly buying one soon as he has not long ago sold his NSX-R NA1 (one of 2 in the country).
  10. You liked it? What did you have mate? I miss mine, very cool, underestimated cars
  11. Personally I dont own a scooby but have considered it in the past but never bought one. Have had the following and more though 1 x Lancia Delta HF (Fully race built by myslef and my mechanic at the time for hill climb racing) 2 x R33 GTR's (one high powered) 2 x GTI-R's (one high powered) 1 x GT4 ST185 1 x GT4 ST205 1 x Evo 6 GSR Honda Integra DC2 Type R Now I drive nothing but the g.friends 03 plate polo 1.2 as as trying to sell my apartment in Kings Hill and aim to have an NSX next :-) Personally the one I miss the most is the DC2 - I had a mint JDM 96spec and am a big user on itr-dc2 forum still and will also have another or an EK9 type R in the future as they are VERY underestimated cars.
  12. Cant get away from this I am affraid mate - you will always have c0*ks owning all kinds of cars and this kind of thing happens on all forums, but it seems a lot of the time the certain people doing it either dont attend the forums or dont admit to driving like tools for no reason whilst endangering others. This kind of thing will only get worse on pretty much all cars of this type, evo's, gtr's, DC2's, DC5's, GT4's as they are dropping in price so much its becoming easier for people to buy them who dont buy them for the same reasons some of us do, they buy it because its fast and has boost lol, they know nothing more about the cars, their history, heritage, the way they work, they are owners not enthusiasts imo of course.
  13. Hi RIch thanks for the reply, very informative and looking at which is the best option for him and whats within his budget, I am just building and driving the thing, its his car but to save paying someone is getting the stuff paid for and I will be building / fitting it and being a driver for the car on track also :-) Thanks again mate Carl PS thanks to all the others for their replies also.
