  1. I've been to a couple of meets around there and yes they will probably drop by at some point. more often than not they'll just drive by a few times then leave. I've only ever seen them actually stop and get out once - and actually they were sound about it all, asking questions about the cars and stuff As long as we're not sitting revving the nuts off the cars and annoying folk we should be ok At worst we'll be told to move on - and there's a few decent public spaces not that far away (Moto services, Falkirk wheel carpark, ect)
  2. Yeah I'm with you. I'm 22 and this year has been the first time I've actually been given a sensible quote on an Impreza. If you get caught without any insurance they car should be confiscated, no question about it
  3. yeah the caste car park is a bit on the small side There's alot of building work around the back of Springkerse, with a few roads that don't actually go anywhere - I'm sure if we're stuck we could head down in that diretion There's even the stadium if you get totally stuck
  4. oooo now that is very nice indeed!
  5. 1)Jonboywrx + Debs 2)Cruz104 3) Paul555sti 4) Scoobysailor and family 5) Bobby C 6)Maxxed_Ross this will hopefully be my first meet. Picking the new car up on the 26th so I hope it all goes well!
  6. one of the first things on my hit list this year! Were they easy enough to fit? I had a pair on a previous car and it was a total nightmare trying to drill the holes in the right places
  7. It's alot more precise, and can check EVERY perameter on the wheels at the same time, gives live results as you adjust and is generally better. For the same price or less I'd go laser at Progrip every time
  8. I'm sure Dicksons of Dunblane import them... they are quite funky looking
  9. why on earth would you buy a car like that then sell it so soon afterwards? The drop in value over such a short time will be killer The bottom has totally fallen out of the trade in market recently. You just need to look and Galss or Parkers to see the huge difference next to a few months back. If you're gonna buy a house or top end car now is the time to do it!
  10. One of those sport Clio's did that to me once... its amazing the advantage knowing the roads can give you. But he started in front so I didn't feel too bad about it
  11. Best two wins were against an R32 golf in a classic type R - totally left it for dead, and an Audi S4 in my V6 ZS. it was a close run thing but I just got him in the end Was totally owned by a Range Rover Vouge a few months ago - but the driver was a total phycopath and had the thing almost on two wheels at one point.
  12. that is increadable! As said already there is a great debate going on over on the RB320oc about all this. It seems Subaru are in talks with Bisteln (or however you spell it!) over what the heck is going on! It seems to be acommon problem so there must be a flaw somewhere in the design Must be costing Subaru an absolute fortune to keep having to do this
  13. hello! Nice to see there's a good few new members appearing round my way
  14. Can't agree more. John was at school with my dad so has always done all the work on our cars, and I've never let anyone else work on mine. The 4 wheel laser system is something else!
  15. can't wait to get involved with stuff this year, sounds fantastic!
  16. I've got a Scangauge II fitted to mine. I bit more than a reader like posted above, but it can give 4 engine read outs on the screen at a time (I have voltage, water temp, intake temp and RPM showing on mine) and stick it on the dash somewhere as it's quite small and slim Quite a handy bit of kit. You can even set it up to show average and maximum speed, RPM, fuel consumption and a load of other neat tricks They go for about £100 on ebay but for the money it's got alot of good uses - plus you can read and re-set fault codes on the move
  17. the light usually comes on for a reason, so it is worth getting it checked out ASAP Most garages have the equipment to tell you what the code is, but will usually charge you a fortune for it. Best bet is find someone with their own code reader and google the code. I've got a Scangauge OBD system and that's what I do. Saves alot of hassle and money
  18. I'm up in StAndrews quite a bit as the other half's pairents are up there I'll keep an eye out for you next time I'm up
  19. welcome! If you can't sort the problem yourself I can reccomend a fantastic garage
  20. holy crap that guy can drive. Some very very cool moves in there Wish I had a playground like that!
  21. I'll be keeping things basic as I'm trying to save for a holiday... but in the pipeline: Fit the JVC DVD head unit from my last car DIN gauge plate with some nice gauges - most likely oil temp & pressure and boost Some personalisation to the outside - some subtle stickers ect Fit fog lights (if I can find the info on what is needed and if it's a simple enough job) after that I'll be looking into the power, most likely starting off with a decent filter and taking it from there
  22. That is one sweet looking engine!
  23. happy new year everyone! I'm stuck in the North Sea just now, so another week and a bit before I see any new year alcohol
  24. I tend to run the front at about 32-34 to help with even wear, but the back at 30. I found having the back harder than the front made it a bit "twitchy" in the damp
