Planning buying this this week and selling my bugeye sti Had 4 scoobs since last feb, 2 classics and 2 bugs and fancying another classic but a Type R Spotted this for sale its got a pretty big spec Brand New BC coilovers Brand New revoloutions Newage big brembos all round new front mount New hks filter new afterburner backbox fully decatted defi gauges the front splitter and bumper has just been painted rear adjustable spoiler oil catch tank mapped and so on 70k on her aswell Anyone know this??

They feel a bit better knowing "the outcome" instead of always wondering where the dog is. Cheers lads.

Just to let you all know the dog was found but unfortuntely it was hit by a train, The scot rail guys were kind enough to bury the dog where it happend, they noticed the dog on one of the posters and contacted my mate. Very nice of them to do that.

Its a really informative,good site you lot have hear. I have met a fair few lads off here some who have helped with the car aswell. Was a shame i never made it to the Skye run :-( was looking forward to it aswell. Dam classic Impreza....... Not to worry my newage is waaaay more reliable haha

Mate I can get these kits cheap. Been getting them from the same supplier for over 5 years at a excellent price, sold hundreds of them aswell ;-) I just fitted some to my bug 2 weeks ago, Easy to fit no modification required. P.s - I put HIDS in my morettes, The projecters in the lenses look wicked aswell lol **** picture but you get the idea - NO light scatter

well been speaking to a speacialist in Forres who seems to think its not the bottom end as he said it would knock all the time not just occasionally He also mentioned about a tensioner on the front on the engine if its leaked oil it will make a knocking sound occasionally which can simulate bottom end. I need to get the car checked over. so hopefully getting a Subaru dude to look at the car tonight

Right this is a few posts off a couple of sites im on i will add them together and let you see if you can help ------------- Right on idle the car is making a "clanking,ratting" sound - BUT it doesnt seem like its from the engine it seems to be around the gearbox area. Could this be the propshaft? Seems to only do it on idle aswell or when going very very slow and it goes away after a couple of miles. What could it be? -- Took it round to my mates last night and it wouldnt do it at all. No noise at all Started doing it on the way to work so i have made a small video of it and you can hear it. But it went away after about 20seconds Its wierd putting the clutch in or out makes NO difference or havnig in gear makes no difference. Just out of curiosity - If it was the big ends would they rattle occasionally or ALL the time on idle The noise goes away when the revs are applied then when the revs drop back down its usually gone lol Very mysterious _________________ Manged to get a video uploaded of it at work :-0 YouTube - Impreza knock - Not sure whats knocking as its only on idle OCCASIONALLY Bearing in mind it goes away when rev'd just a little and this only happens occasionally And ONLY on idle - it doesnt sound like its coming from the engine Engine is running sweet and pulls like a train still Doesnt knock at revs at all ------------- Thanks for your time in advance people Also i was at the garage last night and nothing could be found as the car wasnt making any funky noises only does it occasionally Connor

Hello Was wondering if anyone knew anywhere around the Inverness area or further a field that would machine 4 alloys for me The offset is 40 and want them to a 45 They are 17" rims Any help would be great

I am not pissing on your fire buddy as i was in the same situation as you 2nd week in February :-) I was HELL bent on turning my WR1 coloured sport into a turbo - All because the shell was mint and in WR1 blue - I priced up the engine/box and that was pretty reasonable but it was all the other parts and the actual work involved - Have a look under my username for the thread as someone listed everything needed and a link to a lad doing it and its just SOOO much work - Even tho im pretty hand with a spanner it was just a bit to much for the fact i could get a good priced turbo you know. My sport already had turbo suspension,brakes,kit the whole lot I ended up selling the sport that week and buying a Turbo :-) Also i was told that insurance would be ALOT more - I didnt bileave this so got some quotes and i was up in the 1800 for insurance - i bought a turbo and insured it (23 with a previous ban and my lass 21 ) for 900ish :-) Obviously if you want to do it fire on and good on you:-) it will be worth it in the end to you.
