  2. After much head scratching and fuse blowing a visit to the most helpful Barry,he has shown me the light at the end of the tunnel which certainly brightened up my day .The Prodrive units look like they were cut and shut in someones garden shed I'm all for a little light humour but on a serious note, Thanks Barry ,i would still be in the dark if it was not for you
  3. Hi Jens, welcome to the forum We would welcome the photos and the list of mods that you have done ...It's the kind of the things we live for on this forum .. Kenny
  4. Welcome from another Bugeye owner ,yeah get some pics up
  5. Thanks Barry ,i will get wired into it as soon as i can
  6. Hi guys and gals ,my problem is with my dipped headlight bulb .UK300 Prodrive unit with H7 bulb . For a few days the nearside one would go out ,i would either give the light a knock ( Fonz style)or open the bonnet and wiggle the connectors and it would come back on but the other night it would not .. I changed the bulb but it would not light either ,i sprayed the connections with electrical cleaner and put back together .It did light up but with a very dull orange glow .. The connector at the loom is a 3 spade type with only 2 wires going to the bulb itself ,where does the 3rd go to ?? .I ran 2 wires from this to the bulb but with the same effect ,orange glow .. Can anyone shed some light on this ,and enlightenment would be of help P.S any cheek and you will get lamped

  13. Where was this Gordon ,you can either ram them up their A**e or call the police as mentinoed
  14. As long as you drive the car off boost for a few mile there is no need to sit with it ticking over Gordon .
  15. I am with Don on this too ,rather than walk away leaving your engine to run to cool down a bit and probably voiding your insurance .You would be a lot better just driving for a few mile off boost and cooling the whole engine with moving cold air Gordon
  16. Unless you are in reverse Welcome back from the darkside ,hope you have learned your lesson
  17. My door jamb sticker indicates 33 front and 32 rear on my UK300, with 18" prodrive wheels with 225/40 tyres
  18. Mine does it after being mapped bt Mr Forrest ,from what i have ben told it is to do with the MAF not being able to tell which way the air is traveling .So when the throttle has been liftbutterfly closes excess air is pushed back they way it came ,the MAF senses air and puts fuel in causing the revs to rise.Although i think it is more so with the standard DV ???
  19. Bugs rule ,and so do Kenny's
  20. It is a bit of a PITA getting it off ,glad you have it sorted
  21. Well that is sounding good ,hope it all goes well for you
  22. It is a pain in the ass to get the inlet off for the first time doing it ,i did have a great expert to hand incase i got stuck ( you know who you are Boss ) I just replaced the inlet gasket and put on new hoses as mentioned and it has been fine ever since (touch wood ). Yours sounds exactly like how mine was, in that i could also see a puddle of fuel on mine too ..When i spoke to the VOSA man he said it should just have been fuel vapour and not puddling/pooling ..It was due to the different materials contracting at different rates in the cold . If you are replacing the hoses and hard pipes with braided fule lines then it would fix it
  23. You are probably right about Subaru .Does your leak happen all the time or just when it is cold ? Seems it was mostly in the colder weather it would occur . One fix i believe was to use the fuel rail set up from a Blobeye (2003) I just replaced ny rubber hoses ,however when i removed my inlet manifold to take it all apart the clamps holding the hoses to the hard pipe were just finger tight .Making me think that this might just have been the problem with mine .... Let us know how you get on with it.
