  2. Hi I was about to post similar:) Ive just received my wind deflectors back from the guy who was re moulding them for me! ( it's only been about a year!) but they don't have the small brackets on them that the clips fit into! So basically I will have to glue them on or use strong adhesive tape, will this suffice with them?? Can't think of another way round it as the clips ( still on my car ) won't reach so as to drill holes into,

    Thanks :D

Cathy you can use my tiger seal if you want no need to buy any :) i can bring it up on sunday

    Cheers

    Kenny

  3. Hi guys me again .How are you all doing ?

As the title says my lip spoiler needs fixing. It's starting to come off my bumper ,i can see it was fit using double sided tape are there any tapes which are better or would i be better using some thing like "Tiger seal/adhesive " also any suppliers of said stuff ?

I looked on the Prodrive website but nothing there to say how or what to fit it with hhmmm.

    Cheers Guys

  4. There is no physical reason why you couldnt do it yourself, as long as their is plenty material between the 114 pcd holes, but you would have to be accurate. I have redrilled my rear diff as it had a six speed hole pattern which is slightly different from the 5 speed prop, but to to be honest I prob would sell the discs and buy new ones but think quite a few people have done this without any issues relating to weakening the disc

Thanks mate , i have spoken to Ian Godney about them he can do them for £25 for the pair but the bummer is the £30 or so for delivery there and back,he did say that there is no issues with weakening the discs he has been doing it for years i did ask the engineers who skimmed my discs i got from Phil Mc but it would be more money as he would need to set it all up........we will see.

  5. Kenny my "fixation" comment was in response to some of the comments which suggest that only a dealer can provide bolts of an adequate spec. I can see why you got fed up. I must admit it sounds strange that they are a different thread pitch than normal

Hi Arch ,juts back from T.M.Smith engineers got some discs skimmed £20 for one disc which i thought was good ,i got them to check the thread pitch on the dealer bolts an it turns out that they are M12x1.5mm pitch so the ones from AS Performance are wrong :D will phone them on monday,so in future i will take a leaf out of your book and find out the bolt size and pitch and see if i can get them from the link you posted B)

    Cheers Kenny

  6. Cant see what the fixation is with dealer bolts. If you buy the correct grade of high tensile bolt from a reputable seller, there are loads on ebay, I fail to see what the issue is. Mine havnt fell off yet and I would be quite happy to bet anyone on here the value of their car that they wont B)

Hi mate ,it's not a fixation with dealer bolts ,i did try other avenues when i ordered from AS Performance i got the bolt size from Ian Godney gave it to Alyn and the bolts i got did not fit  I called up next day just to comfirm the bolt size and ASP were cconfused, they then consulted other people including Ian Godney and all confirmed that the bolt size should be M12X1.5mm pitch so there thinking is the hatchback calipers are a different bolt size ,me i do not know but someone will ,might actually get an engineer to check the thread on it .Did not want to keep buying the wrong bolts my house would have looked like an ironmongers :banana2: then she would have told me to bolt :D anyway thanks for the link Arch handy to have for the future .

    Cheers Kenny

  8. Alrite Kenny, Croc's a forestry plant mechanic and fixes mega £ machines like tiger cats, forwarders and crazy stuff like that, anytime i need anything i bug him in the workshop. It'll be the glasgow meet im going to, are you there or is it falkirk for you?? i know the rear ones i have are too short BUT the thread size should be the same...sometime soon your front stoppers will look and perform like mine and many others...cheers John.

Aye right you rub it in :censored: mines will be black :driving:

Glagow for me too thanks John

    Cheers Kenny

  9. Kenny ive got a set of rear gold brembo calipers lying in the garage somewhere mate and i know there are a set of 4 bolts that my mate Croc cut down to fit when were were attempting the rear brakes fit to my car. i will go up the now and see if i can find them,im presuming they will be the same bolt size as the fronts were, i know they deffo fit wrx mount and thread size as we had the caliper mounted but the disc's i had were about 10mm short in diameter and i didnt want to risk it as the car would probably want to tear them off!!!!!!! Im heading down to the meet on thurs now there's minimum chance of being harrassed by the police and vosa, if they are not long enough coz they were cut for the rear calipers i'll go and bug Croc for 4 full lenghth ones for you pal,i'll keep you updated incase you dont get any in the meantime!!

Thanks John ,what meet are you going to Glasgow /Falkirk any idea Where Croc got the bolts?

Good luck with finding your springs mate :)

    Cheers Kenny

Thanks John ,If it's giong to go wrong it will go wrong for me :)

    Cheers Kenny
