About dan06wrx

  1. No modification required as far as I am aware. I fitted some to my 2006 and they bolt on where originals were and the connections were the same too. The only problem I had was the front bumper had to come off for access
  2. My geo was set up after fitting some coilovers by Powerstation. They set my car up with similar setting as they do with the Litchfield type25. These settings do run some negative camber on the front which will naturally wear the inside of the front tyres but will provide extra front end grip when cornering. Though, my tyres (yokohoma parada spec 2) were brand new when it was set up and I have just rotated them after 4000 miles and there is no excessive front inside wear so maybe your settings aren't quite right if they are wearing so quick. You have done the right thing by getting it checked :0)
  3. Would anyone consider buying this?? Ebay - HKS BOV Black I have read that these where only made for the American market Thanks Dan
  4. Hi Have still been searching the forum and have managed to find my answer all it needed was the right word in the search box Dan
  5. Hello What to do some inexpensive handling upgrades on '06 WRX. I know these questions have been asked a million times but I haven't been quite able to find the answer I am looking for. I was thinking uprated springs, uprated front anti roll bar to help kill the understeer and an antilift kit?? Looking to spend around £500 (without fitting). All thoughts greatly appriecated Thanks Dan
  6. Hello Everyone Have already posted a couple of times but just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Dan, 27, from Swadlincote, South Derbyshire and I currently own a Blue 2006 Impreza WRX Dan
  7. I'm 27! Be surprised any under 25's would want to shell out for the insurance not so bad when you hit 25.
  8. From my local tyre supply, Elmbridge in Swadlincote Derbys, paid £100 a corner which may not be the cheapest I just like the service I get from there good set of blokes. Though... the original set they put on were the 'made in Thailand' ones (quoted at £90 a corner) check this thread for info Goodyears 'made in Thailand' they have just replaced them this morning for the proper UK spec ones which are either 'made in China' or 'made in Germany'. The 'made in Thailand' ones jesus did the car feel unstable they are a serious issue if you get offered gsd3s cheap then they will more than likely be the 'made in Thailand' ones. I also emailed Goodyear direct and they said and I quote ' they (made in Thailand tyres) are not an authorised line in the UK'. I disagree the side walls are soft on the goodyears and the grip is awesome I was running the standard fitment Bridgestone Potenza RE050s and the goodyears are cheaper and levels of grip in the dry are as good if not better. Dan
  9. Thanks for all your advice!! I have decided to go for the Eagle F1s gsd3.
  10. OOoops. Sorry didnt see the voting had closed sorry to rub it in beings you went for the blue Dan
  11. Red with white letters. I think it contrasts well. Blue with yellow would be ok tho. Red is my first choice and funny enough they came standard on my 2006 WRX
  12. Cheers for your reply I will have a gander at them!!
  13. Hello This is my first post so just wanted say hello to everyone. Now down to business. I have a '06 WRX and I am in need of a complete set of tyres. I am a big fan of its current tyres Bridgestone Potenza RE050's the cheapest I have currently found them fitted is £112.75 a corner. I am all in for a bargain and a friend of mine has said 'I can get you tyres cheap' but he has got back to me and cant get on price on the Bridgestones but has said he can get 4 Uniroyal Rainsports for £215 fitted! I am reluctant to change brands and don't really mind paying for the Bridgestones but if you can save a bob in the current economic climate thats got to be a good thing right?? So my question is does anyone have any experience of the Uniroyal Rainsports on a Impreza or any other performance vehicle???? Speak soon Dan
