Thinking the Borders area is so geograhically spread out that mid weeks are impossible for people so i have tended to do mini events instead of meets, thinking that weekend may suit better for people down here.
If possible i would like to try and do a lothian and Borders type meet/event to try and generate some interest, next wee event i am thinking about is a wee hurl down to revolution in Newcastle as it is not too far, dunno if people would like that or not answers on a postcard.
cheers

Hi All,
As the title suggests I am going to see this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2366695.htm on Sunday as a straight swap for my Audi http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1848425.htm
Anybody got any thoughts if this is a good deal or not - been without a Scoob for a while now and after having the Audi advertised for a while and not having anyone come up with a decent Impreza I thought it was pretty close to the mark.
Feedback welcome.
Cheers
Gary
Thats a nice clean car Gary about time too you were back in a scoob i might add!!you have been away too long, post up on how it goes, blobs rule

Seen it, done it got the t shirt, it is not a bad day at all, 3 trips in the car 2 with you driving and 1 flat out with the instructor, you dont really ever get out of 2 nd gear as there is no need. It is great fun and would recommend it to anyone for a fun day out, i think if it was a club day it would be even better.

p.s anyone know anybody good for getting dents out thats cheap?
But surely if you know him if he is your neighbour you can show him the damage and tell him to pay for the repair? if not phone the police and report it and tell them exactly who did it.

I'm looking at purchasing new tyres for the scoob and normally use Eagle F1's but due to cash restraints and needing new shocks at the same time, I'm having to look for cheaper alternatives.
I've found some Toyo Proxes T1-r's for £72.00 each on Camskill Performance's website which seems cheap so I was wondering if anyone has used Camskill before and wondering what sort of mileage I'm likely to get from T1-r's?
Thanks
Kim
Hi Kim
I have purchased 3 sets of tyres from them and the service has been frst class every time, I would recommend them, cannot tell you what mileage you will get from the T1 -R as I have never used them, no doubt someone else will comment on the tyres shortly.
cheers

for 4 minute video on You Tube of the Vision stand at Castle Coombe
filmed and edited by Peter Farrow, one of the Series McRae owners that were on the stand with us
Superb wee video loved seeing the Talbots again I loved those cars, looks like a good weekend at Castle Coombe, here is hoping the weather is kind to you this year at the Rally of Scotland.

Tempted to give it a go myself
I am thinking there might just be a few Gags coming about the new car and the fact that Subaru are now giving them away !!

Was wondering if anyone had attended this last year and if so would you recommend it?
Fancy a nosey but if it's overpriced rubbish (and it is pricey) then I'll not be bothering!!
Anyone from Scotland already heading?
Hi Baz
I went last year and the show in the halls was ok not brilliant but ok, the really good bit is the top gear live show, it was very very good and made the trip very worthwhile.
It doubles up with a classic car show so there are a lot of older cars there as well, my old man was into his old cars so he really enjoyed it.
Hope that helps pal.
cheers

Subaru in the WTCC!
in Scottish Scoobies
Posted
Anyone know the inside track on this? certainly explains a few things Nurburgring publicity stunt and the move away from the rally image!
Subaru to decide on WTCC entry this month
The rumors on Subaru joining the FIA World Touring Car Championship has been going around since 2008. According to Autosport, the Japanese manufacturer is going to decide before the end of this month whether to enter the championship in 2012.
Series promotor Marcello Lotti hopes that the long going rumors are going to be finally confirmed this month.
"I have spoken with them and they said the final decision will come in Match. I hope they will say yes and we know before the opening round of this year's championship in Brazil," said Lotti to Autosport.
Linked to the Subaru WTCC efforts is the Belgian team Kronos Racing and their team boss Marc van Dalen said to Autosport that they hope to be able to reveal something about the project shortly
