  1. Link to the Initial Bulletin from the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) for the crash in February where all crew were found safe and well. http://www.aaib.gov.uk/cms_resources/S3-2009%20G-REDU.pdf ScottyB
  2. Wow! I would not have expected a positive outcome having seen the state of that car! All 9 lives used up in 1 go if you ask me
  3. Not good! The company can try the old "No liability" party line all they want however in the eyes of the law this is no defence. If for example a patron had tripped over the hole then they would be negligent under a common law duty of care. This link below is an excellent website - similar case http://www.roadsidelawyer.co.uk/questions/...-s-risk-clauses Post your exact circumstances and the team should come back to you swiftly with a repsonse (Might not be able to as it is Scottish Law) I had a similar experience a few years ago with my 997 Turbo in a Car Park at the Council offices in Stirling. They tried to fob me off and i took the advice of a local solicitor and lodged a small claim at the local court - (Costs peanuts to buy the forms and submit and you can represent yourself from memory i think it is a maximum of 1.5k claim???? May be wrong) As soon as the council got the summons they paid up, worth doing to prove how serious you are. Regards ScottyB
  4. Yeah same info i had, frantic calls last night and this morning to mates who work for them and some who go to Millar on a regular basis and good news all round, sadly though i know others will not be as lucky as me
  5. I thought i really liked the Carbon look before the painting but must admit it looks really nice and to a very good quality now you are finished. I might be as bold as to say that the shape of the Scoop painted looks like it blends into the car better than the original. Good Job! Regards ScottyB
  6. Yeah same here. Yesterday was actually really nice to see, guys in the Control Room in silence listening and hoping for some positive news on the radios, showing respect and understanding for what was unfolding in front of them. Latest reports out of Aberdeen this morning point towards the majority of the passengers coming from 1 company - don't want to feed the gossip mill would rather wait until it is in the public domain and the relevant families have all been contacted. Bond A/C grounded and the remainder of the operators are planning to fly as normal unless a fleet wide grounding is imposed. As with all things of this nature rumours are starting to pick up about possible causes of the failure and subsequent crash, i wish everyone would avoid speculation and wait on solid evidence which can take a large amount of time to gather before jumping to conclusions (Not on the SIDC of course i am talking about the "Gutter press") Regards ScottyB
  7. I hope they don't call you either mate! I too have been involved in a few of these and it is not nice, lost 5 very close mates in a Lynx crash in Croatia during the Bosnia days (Ex Forces working in the choppers) I had a wee moment of reflection for the lads from RAF Lossiemouth and possibly Bulmer yesterday and the stars that are the laddies and gents from the RNLI Although i think the majority of politicians are pond life Salmond looked visibly shocked yesterday when he spoke. Rest in peace guys and my thoughts and prayers go out to the families.
  8. Yeah we are picking up the same Kloon. Sad day indeed My thoughts go out to everyone involved.
  9. dtabbit77 the Aircraft was believed to be on it's way back to Aberdeen from the BP Millar platform when the incident happened. I hope that helps you somewhat? Regards Scott
  10. True i am afraid Dan, Another chopper from Bond which is worrying currently picking up bits and bobs on the radios but hope you understand that a lot of it is fairly hard to listen to and not for general circulation. I agree totally with your comments and hope all of the Offshore guys on SIDC are safe and well and glad your old man in particular is safe. Maxxed Ross drop me a PM or post on here to let me know you are safe and well dude! Not sure if you are offshore or home ragging about in the RB mate. Regards ScottyB
  11. Nope. I am on the "Sea sick weight loss plan" Liquid diet last 2 days, 8-10m seas and blowing a gale, all flights have been cancelled to us again today. I had better not get stuck on next Tuesday and miss my flight to Vegas!
  12. Would have loved to take a trip over but still floating about in the North Sea Paul. Have an "All day Breakfast" for me at the Harvester! Regards ScottyB
  13. Homo! You ever use the word "Bling" and "RB" in the same breath again and i will fine you £100 for Horsepower for Heroes! Whatever next? Neon washer jets........
  14. What about asking Duncan at Hypertech if you can hang about a bit and pick stuff up. In there you will see more than just Scoobies and also mods being applied? You don't ask you don't get.
  15. Nothing much to worry about lads, it will be off the road all the time getting serviced....... Regards ScottyB
  16. Here here that man! Norry for Prime Minister, best bit of sense i have heard in ages. We all push our luck now and again, some get away with it, some don't. Right I'm off out to speed AND talk on the phone at the same time.......... Regards ScottyB
  17. Good News that everyone was ok. Car can be replaced! Good that it is only pride hurt. Regards Scott
  18. Classic example of someone thinking all of their mods they have paid for are worth original purchase price when they sell. Little do they know as soon as they put them on the car they can kiss good buy to the majority of their cash, unless they strip it all off and sell seperate and even then it is hard to recoup even 35% of the initial outlay. Regards ScottyB
  19. A pleasure mate. Got the word today the beast will not be ready for Saturday there was always the risk to be honest. I hope everyone has a cracking drive down and really looking forward to seeing the footage and pics. I hope the weather behaves, will be having a wee minutes silence myself on Sat as a wee private mark of respect to the man. You are welcome anytime mate, next time you are in these parts make sure and pop in and say hello, tell yer missus i will even boil a cup of Special Scottish water for her.... Regards ScottyB
  20. For me there is only 1 place when it comes to it, worth every mile travelled! Dunc at Hypertech without a doubt. He is a busy man which is always a brilliant sign, get someone to drop you in Falkirk for a few hours to help kill the time and the car will be finished before you know it. Regards ScottyB
  21. The GT-R still amazes me, what a tool. Cracking Video. Andy have sent you a link to Mines Motorsport R35 Catalogue, not that you will be wanting to mod the thing anyway.... Worth looking though, most parts for Jap Spec cars only but not doubt European versions will be out soon.........VX Rom de-limiter chip looks a good buy. Regards ScottyB
  22. Bloody hell Uncle, Between me, you and John if it was not for bad luck we would have none at all. John told me what had happened could not believe it, you weren't doing the Fallin road 30-fastest at last pole trying to beat my record in the 997 turbo were you??? I know where NOT to take the car but let's get mine back first before i say anything! I would say Duncan at Hypertech is your best bet. Have sent you my mobile number, if you need someone to get it taken over there (My AA covers any car wink wink) then give me a shout and i can bring you back in my lovely S Max diesel hire car..... Keep your chin up Hope it is nothing serious, as a matter of course same as what i did i would recommend a compression and leak down test so that you have a clear indication of what is going on, for peace of mind never mind anything else! Here's hoping it is just something minor! Regards ScottyB
  23. Sounds like a plan! That is what the forums should be all about...... Had better remember and take the vid of the wife off before giving it to you.....not unless you want to go halfers on the profits from the DVD's we could distribute of her... Have sent you both my contact details. When i get home friday JD i will send you the spec of the video camera mate just in case it is not up to the job but it should be only a year or so old but the small tape version if that is ok? Regards ScottyB
