SUBARU SURRENDERS AND CONFIRMS AWD TURBO CONVERTIBLE TWO-SEATER DIESEL HYBRID BRZ
Cherry Hill, N.J., - Bowing to continued media and internet speculation, Subaru of America has confirmed that it will launch an AWD Twin-Turbo Convertible two-seater Diesel Hybrid BRZ for sale in 2015. The new model essentially takes all of the media and internet rumors surrounding the highly successful BRZ sports car and delivers them in one fell swoop.
A spokesman for the company said: “Having just launched the current model to widespread critical acclaim, we are tired of fighting off the constant speculation about what’s “next” and so we are just giving in and delivering all the speculation in one vehicle.”
The new model, which is expected to have a starting price, will however NOT come with a much anticipated rear back-up camera. The spokesman confirmed that after shoehorning two convertible switches (up and down) onto the fascia there just wasn’t room for any more instruments. The AWD Turbo Convertible two-seater Diesel Hybrid BRZ will come in a single color, noseeum black and will be hand produced at Subaru’s Brigadoon facility.
More denials about future BRZ variants can be found at media.subaru.com

Good work guys, a cracking idea and certainly a worthwhile cause! If you need a hand or input, please do say the word - the Newquay run in 2011 was organised in less than 30 days and we even ended up with international news coverage so if its handled correctly, this could be an absolutely incredible event!

Stu's GX had such an amazing tone - I'd look into this route mate
I seriously miss the bark she had firing up from cold!
-
I can vouch for cobra as that was what was on my GX when I got it. Changed the system and went for a Hayward & Scott unequal length Borla manifold (gives you the burble of the turbo), the H&S centre section and an afterburner vortex back box - the backbox is probably a little OTT based on what you've said so perhaps the H&S with a cobra round tip backbox would give you a more OEM appearance and sound - all in it added £25 to my premium IIRC

There IS life down south! Must admit that East Herts have done extremely well this year with gritting A & B roads, but some minor roads and estates now solid ice. We took the grandkids to a local village panto yesterday afternoon. Car park lethal with ice and "normal" motors, incuding X5s with their rediculously wide tyres, all over the place. Excellent to exit in the WRX in an orderly and fairly quick manner, no slips, no slides and it's where the 4 channel ABS comes into its own. At the moment heavy snow falling again. Would like to take the Scooby out for a drive along the fab B1368, but worried might meet a Corsa sideways!! Instead, roast beef and all the trimmings booked at local pub and it's within walking (and staggering back)distance!
No doubt total chaos tomorrow morning...
Similar situation here in Oxon. roads are okay if you're sensible (did have a bloody close call with a young'un not paying attention a driving far too fast through traffic calming mind you). Snow's coming down again now and settling over ice. Work have organised 4x4 taxis from the local train station (which is within walking distance) so come what may, I'll be in the office - joy! Lol

Cracking advert for the new series I must say. Seems they've thought about it this time rather than giving away the best clips of the entire series
Loving the addition of the loo seat on the side of the Volvo too! Lol

Christmas, New Year, back to work and now the snow, I think everyone's just busy dealing with life - there's still plenty of people browsing, just not many posting. Tends to happen around this time of year

I had a similar quandry but that was a few years back now - was the power switch for an amp/sub in the boot. Tore the lot out to save weight but left the switch.

That's the one I was thinking of... Is a Morris isn't it?
-
An old Morris?
If you want to test the MAF, unplug it, if it runs the same or better it's likely shot. Does sound like it from your description. Hope you get it sorted
Welcome aboard squire!
Just noticed you're in the shire - I'm down in Didcot but there's a few of us scattered about the county

Welcome aboard

Happy New Year folks! Have a good'un!
-
Stu, you can go in what ever car you want mate!!
Yeah, not sure a £250 passat with a shot starter and a dodgy maf would see me through too well lol
