Does go straight on, there's no questioning that but I'm not convinced that the engine bay temps would be within tolerances of the ECU is all
-
Would need to be a LOT of people wanting another date mate... should be fine
-
A good start after only an hour! ...just to add, the meets are for you guys so if another date suits, please do speak up (yes Matty, I know midweek works better for you! )

Sport bonnet will fit and yes, they're steel (think some really early ones might be alloy though). Only issue I can see is that you'll have nowhere for engine heat to go so perhaps hinge risers or a reverse vent could help with that?

Who are you, where are you from and what do you drive in Oxfordshire?

You mean, like this? -
I'm thinking, as I'm sure many of you are as well, that we should meet up and make the most of the weather before winter kicks in properly - was thinking Sunday 10th Oct, say 11:30? Thought we could meet up in Kidlington and then same route as we've done before - Blenheim > Charlbury > Leafield > Fulbrook > Burford That way if anyone fancies a drink or something to eat, there's opportunity at both ends as well as mid-way at the Bird in Hand and the start/finish are both on the A40 so it's easy enough to get to/from wherever you are Link to Map We've done the same run a few times in the past and with the mix of roads and surfaces, it's always been a really enjoyable run... So, who's up for it? 01. Stu 02. 03. 04. 05. 06. 07. 08. 09. 10.

Alloy Wheel Refurb - Paint Or Powder Coat ?
stum450n replied to Baz man's topic in Scottish Scoobies
I would go for paint every time myself. -
Good point Rach. Just remembered that about 18 months ago some little sod tried stealing mine/gaining access to it by continually setting the alarm off in the VERY early hours - police guessed that the plan would've been that I would get sick of it going off, think it's a fault and switch the alarm off. Would say it's another one to be wary of! ...now where did I put that cotton wool? I'm off to wrap the car!

22 September 2010 Last updated at 11:08 Thieves target performance cars in west Oxfordshire Police are linking a series of burglaries in west Oxfordshire in which expensive sports cars were stolen including Subarus, BMWs and Audis. Since April, there have been 11 burglaries in Witney, Carterton and Eynsham in which cars were taken along with cash and electrical goods. Another 10 homes were burgled and keys stolen but the cars were not taken. In Cherwell, 10 homes have been broken into and four cars stolen. The break-ins happened in Banbury, Bicester and Adderbury. Thames Valley Police said they were not linking the burglaries in west Oxfordshire to those in Cherwell. Det Insp Helen Roberts, of Thmas Valley Police, said: "We are appealing for residents to keep an eye out for any suspicious vehicles or people in their street that appear to be checking out properties. "Please do not hesitate to contact us if you see anything, community information is vital and you're not wasting our time. "Obviously we recommend ensuring windows and doors are locked securely when not in use but you should also consider taking keys, wallets and bags upstairs with you at night so they are not left on show or able to be 'fished' through the letterbox." Link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news More here: Witney Gazette ======================== I'm sure you're all very careful anyway but remember to keep windows & doors locked as well as keys and cars out of sight!

Yep, had planned to be there but everyone at home's ill so I got called back there (just colds/flu but all the kids ended up waking at the same time). Same old really, have to leave these things to the last minute - every time I say I'll be somewhere, something always ends up getting in the way! As ever, hope to get down for the next one Ray, glad you found them all alright. Was going to call but was gone 10 by the time I was near my phone again.
-
He got down there then? I got as far as the Oxford ring road before I got a phone call telling me to go home!

Hi Ray! Good to see yourself got on here. Stu

Came over to say hello a few times at Rally Day on Sat but seems every time I did, you were intercepted by a confused looking member of the public!

Seems to have been a bit of a news embargo on here about this one mate - no one's really discussed it. I REALLY want to get down but it'll depend on work. -
Was a cracking day wasn't it! Good to see you. Had a search on facebook - there's over 500 Richard Bakers on there... got to 150 and gave up! I may be easier to find (Stu Mason - b/w storm trooper in a suit as my profile pic)

Can't wait now! So excited! See you all in the morning!

Yep, layby is on the southbound side so you may need to go up to the Toys R Us Island and swing around?
-
Mike: would it just be easier to meet us in Swindon at 07:30? Save all the confusion! Rich, if you're coming down the A420, want to meet with me, Rach & Nige at the Kingston Bagpuize Island at 07:00?

So what's the services just past Swindon then westbound? Leigh Delamere or Membury? Confused now
