  1. I've had bad experiences with 99 in my scooby, used it 2 twice, both time engine management light on (first time i wasn't sure if it was the fuel), however this could have been bad luck with some poor grade fuel and bare in mind my scooby wasn't exactly standard. From then on, the scooby only ever saw V-power.

  2. Since my scooby got stolen and smashed I bought an FRS Mk2 to keep me occupied while I build another scooby and I must say it is a phenomenal car and really impressed me for front wheel drive.

Standard FRS Mk2 vs Standard impreza sti, having driven both....back roads FRS would win, on the motor way FRS would win, off the line Impreza would have it, for looks the FRS wins. A modified impreza is a total different matter of course.

However, i'd replace it with my "modified" impreza in a heart beat!

  3. Autotechnique in Larbert mate, IMO the best in Scotland.

They did my blobeye in white, full respray and I actually had other Subaru owners arguing with me that my car hadn't been silver before, no joke, didn't believe me till they checked the paint code on the VIN plate lol.

Drop me a message if you want their number.

    Cheers

  4. Autotechnique in Larbert is were I would go, they did my subaru full repaint (From silver to white) and my mates pulsar got a full bare metal respray, including new arches  . People on here can vouch for how good a job they made on mine.

IMHO one of the best painters in scotland, i wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

  5. I'm not entirely sure, TBH - although I seem to remember reading that the ratios were revised when the 2.5L was introduced (end of '05, beginning of '06). That seems to tie-in with what ciaranrb5 was saying, but you might want to do your own research. Perhaps a main dealer could give a definitive answer...?

I found the box very good for point to point on back roads, in a straight line you are through the box really quick but unless your running a HUGE turbo this is not really an issue, well I never found one personally and I wouldn't say my car was one of the slow ones ;). IMO ideal for running the 20G

  6. Gutted mate! Hopefully still see you around and back in a scooby soon!! ;)

i'll still be in touch for 3M cleaning gear so no doubt speak to you soon, and as you already know I'm probs joining you with an FR170 so be ready for some questions

    All the best mate
