  1. My teins still need a bit of adjustment as they are a bit "bouncey" at the moment of uneven roads but on a smooth road they are unreal, needing to get harnesses due to the rate it can go round corners!! DC5 was definately more "chuckable" round the back road due to it being light and nimble but still think the scoob would be pushing it round the road and on any long sweeping bends the scoob would pass it on the outside New 3" exhaust system is on and my car is now nice and quiet but goes nuts on boost
  2. lol, that will sort the excitement/nerves problem right out!!
  3. You'll not sleep tonight!!
  4. Difference in fuel, scooby is a good bit more thursty DC5 interior was nicer and the recaros are better than the STI seats. Scoob is more fun to drive, steering is better, brakes are better, handles better (especially now with the teins) scoob gets huge flames out the exhaust
  5. Well after inspection last night, turns out it is a rocker cover is leaking oil so i've got gaskets for both rocker covers and will have to get them replaced asap , I have a busy weekend ahead of us lol

  9. I alway make sure I've got 2days for a detail, normally take around 20hours for a car, the last bmw I did took 18hours Acheived LSP ready finish with Megs #83 too I also need to get a decent camera lol

  11. Thanks Got a Black BMW 6 Series to do on friday/saturday lol, shouldn't be too bad though.....hopefully lol
  12. It must be the mircofibres that are causing me the issues with black then, I find it looks fantastic till i take the polish off, then I get holigrams and it gets really frustrating!! Can get great finishes on every other colour, even really dark blues etc. I thought I might not have been working it for long enough but working it till the polish is clear and everything has broken down, its just a right pain!! The GT4 i'm doing just now is probs the worse car i'm came across lol After a couple of passes with some medium cut polish and 3m compound pad No refining of the finish has taken place to remove the remaining fine swirls and holigrams yet P.S. Sorry for hijacking your thread
  13. Stunning car mate, always loved the RB5!!
  14. Very nice mate! Same finish that is on my wheels so beware of corrosion on them
  15. Hmmmm not sure about bronze myself, chances are I'll paint them dark grey just as a gap filler till I get compomotive mo's Where did you get your splitters and side skirts btw??
  16. What swisswax products did you use? I'm looking to expand my collection ever growing collection
  17. Cheers guys! New exhaust should be here on thursday too , cheapest I can find a front V style spiltter is £140 , crazyness for a bit of plastic, does look good though lol
  18. Not by hand, using a rotary and 3m pads (I'm an amature with plenty of experience , just hate doing black cars ) Also, what microfibre cloths do you use? I have been using the costco ones but find they can scratch the paint
  19. Cheers, I'll check that out, its just hit 40k on the clock and going through a lot of oil so maybe a good chance that this is the problem then
  20. You tried e-bay, always ones getting broken on there??
  21. Stunning mate! Cracking reflections for a light coloured car!!
  22. I've been getting an "oily" smell recently myself, will be getting it up on the ramps for a check on Wednesday.
  23. Thats amazing, I never thought it was possible to restore paint like that by hand! I'm working on a Black GT4 just now and its a mess!! . What do you find is best to use on black cars for correction? I currently have Megs #80, #83 and AS R2 as my polishes
  24. Cheers guys Great warm welcome!! I'm unsure about the green tbh, i'll probs play it safe and paint them grafite or something similar. The splitter that is on it just now is bust and that was from running it at the standard height
