  2. I'll be going that way, live near Chilton so I'll be going through Rowstock. Shall we meet at the Nissan garage in Rowstock....just to annoy them? Mike

  4. Welcome Ant! I've seen yours parked down the Broadway a lot recently! ;-) If you see a blue P1, give us a wave! ;-) Mike
  5. Hi All! Just got back from my week in Scotland. Was good to see you, bit gutted I hadn't added a 2nd P1 to the stand but nevermind....see you all soon! P.S ant84....is yours the white classic wagon by any chance? Mike
  6. Hey guys, Need some advice, I'm probably p***ing in the wind but here it goes. It's my fathers 60th birthday coming up and I've been searching the web for months trying to find his first bike which was registered on his 16th birthday in 1966. It's a Honda CB160 with the registration number JMO 3D. I've done a DVLA search on the bike and it shows that the current applied tax runs out in 2011, meaning it's still about. I'm trying to contact the owner and have run out of ideas now. I know that with the data protection act it's pretty impossible to find these details but I was wondering if anyone could help? I'd just like to ask the owner if he's willing to sell and if not if he's not, I'd like to ask if I could arrange for some pictures to be sent which I'd obviously pay for. Can anyone help? Mike
  7. If you are seriously interested maybe we could go in on it together and get a discount seeing as we are both local? I will look in to the ICOM system, sounds interesting but a bit of a grey area? Would be very interested to chat to this guy if he wouldn't mind sharing his experience of running his P1 on LPG? Thanks Mike
  8. Ha ha ha! Don't even start on that one Stu! ;-) Stupid damn police!
  9. Cheers dude. I'll find out about the power, I've heard people running 400bhp on LPG. My P1 is totally standard, even has the cat in the original exhaust system! It's running 280bhp Yes, if I went for the conversion I would most definitely warm up and cool down on petrol. I'm not planning on running it permantly on LPG. I have a little Peugeot 205 for running around in for work but I'm preparing it for stage rallying so it's always being pulled apart and isn't ideal as a second car run about. I'd rather run the Subaru around on LPG for work and just run it on petrol on sunny weekends ;-) I'm planning on taking the P1 to the Nurburgring a few times this year and was thinking it might be worth running it on LPG from Oxford to Germany and then switching over to petrol on the Ring. Please refrain from comments like "Why buy a P1 and drive it like a Suzuki Swift" or "Buy another car", I don't want to buy another car, I like my P1 and I'm planning on keeping it for the next 5 years at least. And I don't see whats wrong with using it as a normal every day car and crusing at 70mph, at least it will get a few track days and be driven how it was made to be driven. Many Thanks Michael Jenkins
  10. Hi Guys, Im considering getting an LPG conversion for my P1. With the cost of fuel (especially super) I'm thinking it might be a worth while investment to blow my April bonus on. I realise that LPG is rising as fuel is but it's still half the price. I spend around £300 a month on fuel and would break even after around 10 months on a £1,500 conversion. Anyone have any experience of this. Pros and Cons? Also, as you probably know the P1 engine is well know for going bang, mines currently sitting on 32,000 miles from new (no engine rebuild, original engine) would the cleaner fuel/valves etc provent this from happening? appologies if I'm talking crap on that one, I'll admit I'm not great with mechanics ;-) Many Thanks, Michael
  11. Hey guys, Sorry I didn't make it earlier, was fitting an air horn and drilling out the floor for fitting of my roll cage to my 205 rally project. Hopefully see some of you at Bournemouth rally.......details to follow! Michael
  12. Thanks Hopefully, if not I'll deffo be at the Berkshire Arms! Anyone arranged anything for the Sunseeker Rally in Bournemouth? Mike
  13. Hello all! Appologies I haven't been around for a while, been a tough few months. I won't go in to details but a few things including almost having to sell the P1 have been going on, but all is now sorted! :-) Glad to see that things have picked up on here! excellent work guys and gals! I'm sure I will catch up with you all at the next meet. Look forward to seeing you all and your beautiful vehicles! Many Thanks, Mike
  14. Sorry mate no worries, are we going to have to wait until USC to see White Noise in action again? Mike
  15. Noisy, my god, everyone that get in my car says "I think you need new pads mate" ha ha. In the warranty leaflet that came with the P1 it mentions the brake noise and says "this is normal" haha.
  16. Anyone interested in this one? See link to post in Berkshire section: http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtop...p;#entry1315963

  20. Hey guys, Just got back from Rally GB in Wales, I thought I'd be clever by posting the meeting times using my 3G laptop while I was away, but I couldn't get any signal! I would suggest that we meet at the Reading Gate Retail Park, M4, J11 near McDonalds (where the Reading Jap meet is held) RG2 0QG @ 7:30am on Saturday 7th November. We should then arrive at the 1st stage of the day @ around 8:00 - 8:30 am Stage times are as follows: 1st Car End Yateley TEMPEST 2 – SS21 09:25 10:10 TEMPEST 4 – SS4 12:30 13:15 TEMPEST 4 – SS8 15:01 15:46 TEMPEST 2 – SS29 15:58 16:43 Warren TEMPEST 2 - SS22 09:47 10:32 TEMPEST 4 - SS5 12:52 13:37 TEMPEST 4 – SS9 15:23 16:08 TEMPEST 2 – SS30 16:20 17:05 If you guys have any questions, please ask! Cheers, Mike
