was thinkin about a mental wrap neil but lookin at £1000 for that,but my cuz has just opened a paint shop in edinburgh so wont cost me anywhere near that as i will be stripping rubbing and putting the car back together. cathy yours sounds a good idea as the car isnt gonna move much now so got time to mess about wi polish paint and powder coating.gonna text u cathy anyway got some subaru ???s for ya.

proper announcement for the highland fling will be going up in the next few weeks in events but thought id give you all a heads up that im proposing a bit of extra fun!

I know quite a few of you take the friday off to head up to Inverness in plenty of time and as this year theres a public holiday that day courtesy of some underworked oiks wedding i thought id suggest an alternative to the convoy up the A9.

still a fairly relaxed day to ease in those who can make it but a bit more fun and a lot more scenic!

doesnt take a genius to work out the alternative but as always i wont be publishing any of the routes on the forums, suffice it to say meeting at stirling services and terminating at your hotel for the night in inverness

Had the steering jam on me going round a roundabout yesterday afternoon.

Ice had built up in the wheel arch cavity and prevented the wheel coming back to the straight ahead position. Used the jack handle to clear it and carry on but it had compacted so much it was like breaking concrete with a plastic teaspoon. Noticed the coil rings on the struts had frozen solid as well.

Morale of the story, give the wheel arch area a good checking over prior to heading out into the arctic weather

I have to clear it every day or cant get out the drive, used a large wooden spoon lol...but Sox ate it!!! Found a large poker now though

Evening folks...quick question My wagons tax was due on the first dec but I reckon I wont get it out for a few weeks with the snow 4/5 ft deep around it!!!

So if I sorn it does that mean its for a month/ 6 month or can I tax it in a few weeks?? I know it will still be back dated but its one less bill to pay out just now lol
