  1. Well i Guess Andy will have reply to this thread eventually and I'm sure he will explain the current " goat "situation ........ Andy ..... Over to you mate...
  2. Welcome back....... Post up some pics of the new / current motor....... Plenty Classics for sale just now... including mine Cheers Christian
  3. Kev, I just had all that work done last year by Grant at AWD. All the engine gaskets and seals were replaced. The sump looked a bit porous bit it still seems ok. My car is a UK98 as well.... the rocker gasket had a slight leak on the left hand side and the oil just collects on the exhaust manifold creating the burning smell and smoke out the bonnet scope. Easily rectified though.. I'll dig out the reciepts as all the part numbers are listed. You could maybe give them a bell at AWD as well as they supplied the parts. Not sure if there was much of a price difference between them and the main stealers prices..

  5. There's a bloke based in Pitcairngreen that does a lot of cars for Grant and Andy at AWD. Give them a bell for the details.... I need to get my bonnet resprayed after some git keyed it last month so let me know where you get the car done.. if it's a good job Cheers Christian
  6. Very Nice, like that a lot...... Just wish they would add Subaru to our company car list as that would be exactly what I would order It's gonna take some cleaning and polishing...... Great wee drive up through the sma' glen from Creiff though. Must take a run through there this weekend...
  7. Shell Garage in Blair per chance I'm sure i've seen the car there sometimes, I'm in every week to fill up the Volvo...
  8. The Joys of living in Alyth... nothing is on your doorstep.. Ask Andy or Grant down at AWD what he does to get a car through an MOT. I'm sure he puts a centre section CAT on to pass the MOT. Worth asking....
  9. Very nice car by the way..... Hers's how it could look with Anthracite wheels and lower suspension though Just to get you in the mood....
  10. Hi Jerry I'm based in Perth To and try to get along to the Tayside meets when i'm home. You are also lucky in the fact you have one of the best Subaru tuners based along the road in the name of AWD motorsport in Inveralmond Ind Est. If you have not been in to see them yet i would recommended a visit as Grant and Andy N are top blokes to know When you get the Tuning bug ..... Cheers Christian.
  11. I ended up just buying a new bumper beam for £79 as I had to get the car back together again quite quickly to get it out the paint booth. Not a happy chappy Still I'm sure your car will look good once it's done.
  12. What sort of condition is the front bumper beam in? I had my bumper painted two weeks ago and the the bumper beam fell to bits with rust That's both the fron and rear beams replaced on my car now....
  13. Any chance of narrowing the link down a bit?? That last link took me to the home page with loads of options Too much for me at this time of night......
  14. Magic... I reckon a PM is coming Iain's Way
  15. Just got my car back from having the front and rear bumper painted and also the side skirts. The plastics are looking good however I need to get the whole car machine polished and waxed. I'm more at home fixing mobile networks and re wiring cars so any help would be much appreciated. I live in Tayside so any Volunteers able to help me out and get the car looking as it should be?? Cheers Christian
  16. Well the company car I drive is a de badged Volvo 56 plate T5R and yes I it was delivered that way. Tayside Police have the exact same car as well as they picked it up the same time as myself... My Scoob is an MY98 WR Sport with all the associated WR sport and Prodrive badges so i guess i prefer it that way as nobody seems to recognise the car without the badge. I guess that makes me a car Snob in some peoples book
  17. So you've had the car for 5 days Ciaran and your booking it in at AWD already Never actually been down to Crail however I reckon it's worth the trip now... I'd like to see Andy N's car running, only ever seen it sitting in the workshop whenever i have been in. Cheers Christian
  18. I'm over in Blair most Friday nights so i'll look out for this one using a lot of petrol on it's first run. I drive a Reddish Blue WR Sport so remember to wave when you see it parked up outside the Pub in Blair. although Iusually look for any chance I get to take a wee Spin up the Braemar road from Blairgowrie
  19. I seen this one on their web site when i was looking for a new back box and centre however i opted for the classic Sport one as it suited my car more. Cheers Chris.....
  20. I had the Wr Sport back box and decat centre on my 98 Wr Sport. Needed to get it replaced as it was failing after being on the car for many moons. Went for the Hayward & Scott back box with matching stainless centre section. Great little burble on tick over and sounds much better on full chat than the Wr Sport one. A much more pronounced roar which was nice without being too loud at cruising speed photos are not the best though sorry
  21. always been a fan of the classics and that Audi SWB looks minted. I'd like to park that one next to the Scoob in the garage
  22. I'm not much of a photographer and I never thought I would be saying this but it's too sunny outside to get a good picture... There seems to be a lot of experienced guys on here that can give me tips for later however This one will have to do for now.....
  23. The original wheels on the Wr Sport were looking rubbish what with 10 years break dust and a few kerbings ( yes mostly me ) Anyway £45 per wheel later ( which inlcuded a new valve and tyre refitting / Balancing ) from Perth powder coating and I'm amazed at the difference. The quality is brilliant and the colour matches the car better than the Silver wheel. Thanks to Andy and Grant at AWD Perth for a loan of a set of wheels whilst mine were gettting done - Looking after there customers as per usual Before : After:
  24. Welcome M8. you'll enjoy the banter. As for the photos then the more the better....get set up on photobucket and follow the instructions in the forum...
  25. Nice car, hope the wait is not too long.... I like the look of the UK turbo though
