  2. Where's my sodding coat?
  3. If I remember correctly it's Sheepie's 50th tomorrow. Happy birthday Mark, if you are having a party and it goes past half ten I will be calling the police.
  4. On second thoughts the best fix for a cel due to a decat is a piece of black tape over the light. And give it a tank full of diesel once in a while.
  5. It needs a remap. A full decat on a newage should be remapped sooner rather than later for both performance and the engines lifespan.
  6. I would like to say that the meet on Friday was one of the most enjoyable I have been to and actually re-newed my faith in the club. You get out of meets what you put in and if an effort was made to talk to people everyone would realise the vast majority of attendees were actually quite nice people. The organisation of future events is a bit of a worry, I would like to think that maybe Granby would come back if the atmosphere on here and at meets was once again enjoyable. If, however, a new RO is found in the meantime then it's important they have the backing that perhaps Ian didn't fully get. A lot of things get said on this forum but at the meets it is my experience that these arguments are not carried on, and remain largely enjoyable events. Of course people will group together, you will always get poeple who find they "click" better with certain people and to have the whole group in one big bunch trying to have a conversation is just not practical, or likely to happen. I have made some friends here (and one next door neighbour) who I would like to think I would still see regardless of which car anyone owned.
  7. Didn't think it was going to happen this quickly Ian. Very dissapointed but I too can understand why. Your running of the cub was done with total dedication and excellent, I'm sorry it has come to this. Thanks for your help saturday too
  8. As in iron, like a lion, in zion. Iron, lion, zion. Bob Marley didn't seem to have a problem And I once knew a ninja. He was ginger and a whinger and a weekend binger.
  9. Chilver rhymes with silver. It's a sheep. Anyone got anything that rhymes with pavement? I remember the band Pavement stating it has no rhymes and I can't think of any.
  10. If you are in the Rotary club Hugh can you ask the lads to put a bit more effort into Santa's float this year, its been getting worse year on year. Last year it was a Trident trailer towed by a Mondeo. And tell Santa to cheer up too, it's meant to be for charity. Grumpy sod. And the sound system has been lacking of late too.
  11. I realised that just as I turned my computer off last night after work, and believe it or not its been bugging me all day! What a dullard. Sorry! Anyway, its meant to be tattarrattat but rotavator is more of a known word. And what the hell has the rotary club got to do with it?!
  12. But parishion is a genuine word Hugh! Are trying to get out of buying Col a pint, hell, I know it looks like he has normally had enough but you owe him one.
  13. Fushion and hushion are both words I believe, but little known outside of Scotland. But knowing Hugh I guess he is thinking of parishion. Well done Col!
  14. Arrgghhhh!! WTF?!
  15. TBH this thread is now leaving me with a bad taste in the mouth. I have said what I want to say regarding the running of this club and this thread is not helping anyone and especially not any potential new members who by now would be running for the hills. I'm sorry if this childish bickering (on all parts) has made people think twice about being part of this normally friendly club. I'm now bowing out of this thread as anything else I say is not going to be constructive, and nothing on here since Hugh's last post has been. So I will not be replying in this thread again, so do your worst Dean! (who is here is actually quite a nice bloke, I wouldn't know, never met him).
  16. I'm repeating myself because you keep evading the question. Members I have spoken to would like to be part of a friendly club, you obviously have other ideas. As for making an a*** of myself, well it would be a very sad state of affairs it I gave a flying one what you think. Maybe you are right on the last point, but you clearly give a **** otherwise you wouldn't partake in this thread or the bickering in it.
  17. Incubator (sort of), don't know and bevel. I was thinking of pavement, orange and month, but one probably has a rhyme.
  18. The Integra is a great car, no shame there! I will end up with an R32 sooner or later, but not for everyday driving. i still think the Subaru is one of the very best for general use.
  19. There is another, bit shorter but means the same!
  20. Oops i put some words up. hope no one saw that! I know of three. Does anyone know the longest one word palindrome? Or a SENTENCE (for Dean) where it is grammatically correct to use the word "and" five times in a row. Edit: I know of three everday words, but there are loads, as I can't think of anything that rhymes with mesothelioma or polyoxymethylene.
  21. Yes, hearty thanks for capitalising some letters and changing the a to an e in "sentence". When it comes to being that pedantic you really must be clutching at straws, as you make no attempt to correct the posts of others. So, again, you believe I am wrong to assume members want a friendly club?
  22. So you dont think people want a friendly and welcoming club? This was the only sentance i used the phrase "other members" in. So would you prefer a club that is unfriendly? Seriously, why would you put that? Its just ridiculous. The only person i speak for is myself. Col is right, 95% of people here will just leave well out of threads like this, and they are probably the sensible ones. Again, please tell me why you thought i was the spokesperson for other members. I could have put "all other members enjoy having the use of one or more limbs", or "all other members think breathing is beneficial to their health" and I was stating something equally obvious. And no, kent is not special, it just has a lot less members than esc and scotland.
  23. LMAO @ that. They are bigger than your steering wheel mate!
  24. That was bloody funny! Went down to the seafront but went straight away, wish id stopped now though, it was heaving (like scoobytibs man boobs) and looked like a good atmosphere. Will be going to the next one but might just head straight for southend. Good to see everyone that went. Clean your bloody bonnet granby.
  25. You say the club will not move on without Pele, but i thought the whole reason you wanted shot of her was because you thought it wasnt moving on with her. I am confused, do you now say you thought the club was going fine all along under her? Let me put across my thoughts on the running of this club. Kent scoobies has around, id guess 35 - 40 members all in, of which 10 - 15 are regular attendees, post regular posts etc. I do not believe a club of this size requires 2 "leaders" - it dosnt work in business and wont work here. Regardless of semantics and actual titles the club will have 2 leaders. When i first came here Granby organised, and still does, everything, he takes payment from us, including chasing payments, and then passes these on, he filled out all the forms for the BHP show and does these time consuming tasks without acting like a martyr. I can only comment on things that happened while i was here, and this is what i saw. As for being part of SIDC, well it works for essex and it works for scotland, but i guess kent is special. All i and other members want is a club that is friendly and welcoming, it was when i joined. People are always going to fall out, some not get along with other etc, but most other places just get on with it. Its only a car club but somtimes it feels like its part of a military coup.
