  1. What is the 2009 STI like at motorway speeds? One of the thing that bug me about the GC8 is that is on the autobahn at 100mph+ it is very noisy due to the high revs (80mph = 4k RPM). I think I might be looking for something with longer legs, does the 2009 STI fill this criteria?
  2. As much as I love my GC8 wagon, I'm thinking that it maybe time for a change. I've come up with a short list of: Impreza STI (2009) Nissan 350Z Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R Anyone have experience with any of these cars?
  3. At some point the dash has been removed from my car (MY97 classic) and the plastic fasteners, that secure the dash by the doors, have been lost. Is there a specific name for these fasteners and where can replacements be obtained from?
  4. I know 2 off the top of my head.
  5. Doesn't say if this is realtime or pre-rendered but looks damn good and there's a nice clip of a scooby in the video! http://www.gran-turismo.com/en/movie/d3284.html

  7. Evening Guys, I have a catback Nur Spec R but I have decided it's too loud, I want to change the back box. The question is, can I get a different backbox and expect it to fit with the blitz centre pipe, or will I need to get another full catback?
  8. I spent a lot of time looking hard at the fourth picture but I couldn't see a scooby in the picture!
  9. I think the common problem would be people who don't understand that you can't expect an AWD car to be driven like 2WD cars. Young twonks who dump the clutch without realising that when the wheels don't spin it's the gearbox that has to absorb all that abuse.
  10. Where did the £20K go? Is it in a suitcase on the backseat?
  11. Love the dash. Where did you get the dials from? Are they easy to fit?
  12. Yeah, glad when it's run in though. Still not quite happy with it, think I might change the exhaust. The Nur Spec R is way too loud for my neighbourhood. I've got the baffle in which gives a more acceptable volume but I've read that the baffle robs the car of top end power. Yes it is a wideband. It's the AEM UEGO wideband
  13. Morning Guys, I got my car back last week and I am in the process of running it in (so it's not been above 3500rpm yet). I am a little confused by the information I am getting from the car. It is mapped for 98octane fuel but I am using V-Power racing (100octane). AT IDLE: When I start the car cold, the AFR gauge starts at about 12.3 and slowly works it's way upto 14.7 ish. After the engine has properly warmed up, at idle, most times the AFR reads around 15.3 but occasionally the gauge will read around the 16 mark. AT LIGHT THROTTLE: Occasionally, the AFR will go right up to 17. And regardless of the AFR readout, the Apexi PFC commander never reads above 5 for the knock value. Am I just being paranoid? Is there some reason for concern? Should I wait until the car is run-in before I can get proper readings? Thanks.
  14. Does anyone know when this 'Gymkhana' event is happening?
  15. This site looks a lot like www.flat4online.co.uk A quick 'whois' search shows that flat4online and modifiedscoobys are registered to the same address. And modifiedscoobys is registered by Flat4 Performance Ltd. So perhaps you need to do a quick search on Flat4online.
  16. Prefer the second bodykit. First one from the front looks like an Evo wannabe.
  17. Judging by the intro to the video, upto 4 sets.
  18. The in-car shot of the 180degree in the hanger (2:48ish) looks so effortless.
  19. This is exactly what I thought when I saw the story. How many times have we heard about footballers that have written off 100k supercars?
  20. I need to eat. When I read 'Prodrive Grill Kit' I was expecting a Prodrive branded BBQ!
  21. I've figured it out. This is the new Batmobile for the sequel to Dark Knight. Even Hollywood has to cut back in a recession! I couldn't get past the pictures on the original site, laughing too hard. Did it pass the inspection?
