  1. Sounds like a fitting tribute to my hero, I have just been on the Premier Inn website and booked the night of the 30th, If you're wanting sometwhere close and comfy I would get onto it asap as I can see this getting booked up seriously quick. The trip down should be an amazing experience with hundreds of Scoobs travelling in convoy. I am sure it will attract some attention from the media, maybe we can get some attention to it beforehand so the public know when and where were gonna be, we could raise a good amount for the charities that way. Get yer skates on chaps and chapasses as I can see this being the hightlight of the Scooby year. Gary
  2. whats the head unit fella? And how much was it? Gaty
  3. What were they thinking?????
  4. Hi again guys, Bin the above quote as I have just noticed that TEG are not there this year. If you still wanna use them their website is www.tegsport.co.uk. Gary
  5. Hi Guys, I have been down to the Autosport show for the last few years and I must admit you get a few good Scooby deals there. I almost built my rally car from discounted parts from TEG Sport at the show around 5 years ago. If your wanting a good deal and are looking for real performance - they are the specialists. Speak to Stuart Newby, he owns the place knows all there needs to know. Gary
  6. Hi Stephen, Good work that will be sorely missed - good luck with the track day car, what is it bud?? Gary
  7. Hi Guys, Back in the land of the living after a week and a half of the old drinky poo's. In amongst the celebrations was clearly my 1st rally for 2 and a half years, the car went reasonably well with only 1 turbo problem all day - and a couple of massive spins off into the green stuff!!!! We finished the day in 26th overall which I was quite chuffed about - could have been top 20 if I hadnt been so rusty and let the red mist decent a couple of times when slower cars woulnt let us pass. Anyway thats my excuses anyway, heres the results; Christmas Stages Rally Final Stage Times in Position Order Car Cls Crew 5 5 John Stone/ Lee Carter 5:46 5:39 4:46 4:41 5:38 5:39 5:19 37:28 1 1 6 5 9. Hi Guys, Found this pic and although there is a WRC front splitter and some side skirts the body looks pretty STI norn to me, whats your thoughts???
  10. Cheers fella, would still like to get one - but only if you chaps think it wont be a complete waste of the old hard earned dosh - Fecking hard to come by these days!!!
  11. Thanks for the advice chaps and chapasses, looks like I will stick with the spoiler that is on it - although I did see an 04 on the net that had not been modified apart from the usual and the WRC addition and it did look quite good - but don't really want to spend £750 on something that looks "Quite Good" Cheers Guys Gary
  12. Wish I had that guys money - must have cost a fortune with all that Prodrive gear, but what a result if you got the dosh.
  13. Yeah I know what you mean fella, wondered if anyone had done it and had a pic, seen John Marshalls 07 car with it on and it's looks really good, would be perfect with the wide body - but one step at a time I think. Cheers for the link. Gary
  14. Hi Guys and Gals, Gonna look to change the spolier of the car to a WRC type, looking for some expert opinions of which one to get and also where to purchase it. If you have any idea's or thoughts please add your comments. Cheers Gary
  15. I will be in Duns tomorrow night fitting the light pods to the car for the christmas stages, should be there from 6 onwards.
  16. Very nice indeed, I do like the black wheels and spoiler on it too.
  17. How about this colour guys for the Impreza???
  18. So the Red Bull graphics on the WRC blue seems the most popular colour and design, I think that whats it's gonna have ot be. Now if anyone knows the right men to do the graphics job I woul dappreciate some phone numbers or links please. Will keep everyone upto date here of the progress and some before and after pics. Gary
  19. Hi Frank, The spoiler is the origional one that was on the car, not really sure if it's a 22b or replica - but does the job anyway. Will certainly keep you in mind for the paint, I had looked at the Renault Liquid Yellow which is used on the Clio 192 and also thre new Megane 225, really nice colour and has a great metallic shine. You any idea of you can get that and if so what do you reckon the price would be to supply??? Gary
  20. Could be interested fella, keep me informed of what develop's.
  21. The car used for this film was actually belive it or not a Mercedes saloon, (not sure what type) the guy who done it was a film maker and just added the sound of the Ferarri on afterwards - and it was much slower than it looked, they thought the top speed was only around 70mph in the end, half the 140mph claimed - but I agree with you all it still looks good and just shows what you can make people think with some trickery!!!
  22. Hi Chaps and Chapasses, Looking to get the Rally car re-sprayed and freshen up the old graphics, always had the WRC ones on it and think I will go down the same route once again. Does anyone know where I could get this done to a very good standard? The guy that used to do mine no longer does it so am looking for an alternative. I might try something different with the colour of the car and the graphics so if anyone has any suggestions or examples post them on here and lets see and have your thoughts. Thanks in advance everyone.
  23. Our 2 babies!!!
  24. Offering rooms at my gaff and I still dont have a clue who you are, the only clue I have is a red van which could be Dingbro, or any of the other many red vans that come to the business!!!!!
  25. That would be my brother I think, he is just in the process of selling his MGZR Stars car for an EVO6 from Kenny McKinstry, it was Kenny's daughrter Emma's car and although a bit tatty on the outside it seems to be a bit of a go'er. I now live in Edinburgh but still have my rally car down there as they have a good bit of ground and storage as you probably noticed when you were there. So are you coming down this year? It's in May once again. I will be living at a place called Carfraemill by then (just outside Lauder) so keep in touch and there may be space for you in either house of you wanna stay for the weekend.
