that will be rapid then in a classic ra
pity about the gasket, never mind theres aye something.
-
barrel wiring is very long shot leave it until youve checked everything else.
-
there is a wire link (small black wire) inside the engine bay fusebox at the very front, worth a check.
when i said key i meant electrical connections at back, long shot anyway.
-
theres the fusible link in the main fusebox as well if you didnt notice it. funny how theres absolutely nothing, other than fuses/wiring only other alternative i could suggest could be ignition key.

have not watched the nightly slots on eurosport so am hoping the coverage will be good. i shall have to resist watching the live coverage earlier in afternoon though.
be interesting to see how the wee suzukis do.

you can self read abs codes. it changes with year but the black connector on steering column that is spare when doing an ecu code check you ground one of the pins and abs light flashes code. others have different abs diagnostic connector. help identify which sensor is wrong/cleaning etc.
ps. check brake lights

glad to hear your happy with the car again dave
went to rr day at hypertech and the lads definitely do their best to help you out.
-
think its wrong time of year to be doing this kinda stuff.
maybe get away with something that displaces water but the likes of tetroseal etc would just make it worse by sealing in damp.
unless of course you have nice heated garage
-
ive got a leggacy, doesnt look as good as that one though.
good luck we yer new car gus.

i wondered if it could be pcv valve. my theory is dodgy though so maybe someone who knows more could either confirm or tell me to shut up. i was thinking it was happening when comming to a complete stop with clutch down as the brake booster vacum comes of pcv valve i think, does on a n/a anyway. wouldnt harm to clean it i suppose.
-
nice one sorting it out grant
few i can think of: TyneTeesScoobies, subaru-impreza.org

have you got standard dump valve? if not check that first.
probably that old favourite maf sensor.
i would clean idle valve as well, couldnt tell you how though as i have yet to do this on mine.
-
with the exhaust note changing i was thinking cracked headers but you would still have some boost. as others have said i would take off intercooler and examine hoses very carefully along with boost control pipes. perhaps new sensor wasnt good either, not unknown.
ive blocked a turbo before and didnt get any smoke as seals were ok hopefully it wont be this.
-
have you got boost gauge frank? any boost at all?
-
ouch!, at least its impeller.

10/40 semi is what i use, no track use, standard power. go for semi on that mileage.

lol
dont know where to go for alignment round your way but heard there someone very good out alford way.
my old tyres wore out on inside very quickly but that was due to the steering rack working loose.
-
looks a good location alan. was also out a run on boxing day but was just to bed in a new clutch.

Heater Problem?

subaru water gauge response is the same over a great big temperature range. ie its crap.
as long as you are not missing coolant it could well be thermostat stuck open.
other possibility could be trapped air but you dont mention changing coolant recently.
