Sorry to hear... never accept bankers draft or cheques when selling cars, cash or chaps only. Heard of the samething happening on another forum. I think they got the car back by, telling the DVLA what happen. So they didn't issue a V5 form in the owners name. Also reporting the car as stolen. Might have to do that with another Police station now. I'll try to have words with my next door neigbor who's a copper. Hope this helps. James
