  2. couple more threads - http://bbs.scoobynet.com/car-care-380/6750...eferrerid=49260 http://bbs.scoobynet.com/car-care-380/6774...eferrerid=49260 http://bbs.scoobynet.com/car-care-380/6776...eferrerid=49260 Mike
  3. Totally agree with you 100% Al, I've seen some "professional" work that has been really poor, just because you've got the gear doesn't say much. I've enclosed a couple of thread you can have a wee look at, one of them is the original Dr Colorchip review I did, since it went out, Bill at Dr Colorchip has confirmed over 1000 sets have gone to the UK!! Wish I'd bought shares in the company!!! You can also go onto the Polished Bliss website and look up their show n shine area where I won the March 2008 detail!! Dr Colorchip review (I still love this stuff!!) http://bbs.scoobynet.com/car-care-380/6765...eferrerid=49260 Cheers Mike
  4. I've defo got OCD - obsessive car detailer!! Just enjoy making cars shiny and happy to help a fellow scooby owner if they need it, obviously don't want to nick any business from the pro's as I only do this as a hobby!!
  5. Scotty, if you're really struggling I'd be happy to help out, although I'm only an amateur, but I am in Stirling, so very local. Obviously if you can get a professional go for it, I'm not trying to steal any business from them, but if you are striking out, then give me a shout. I've got a couple of bottles of polish and some polishing gear - Oh yeah and I just took delivery of a paint depth gauge!! All the Best Mike
  6. Sorry Chris, can't make that one as I'll be on my holibags Mike
  7. Thanks guys, yeah getting the Lusteric 5 spokes, was gonna get the prodrives, but cleaning the 14 spokes was gonna do my head in!!! I'd agreed the deal before it even went in the showroom, the dealer was cheeky putting it in there in the first place!! Then the salesman let someone sit in and I politely told the salesman to get them out MY car and lock it and I wanted it out the showroom that night!! If anyone's passing S&S and see it still in the showroom, can you let me know, as there'll be one almighty opportunity ass kicking if it is Mike
  8. tell me about it!! But it's the Mrs's car so I've got to be really sneeky when it comes to mods!!
  9. Cheers mate, thought my bottle was gonna go spending all that money, but plan to keep it a looonnnggg time!!
  10. Sold the wife's WRX SL wagon!! However, it's being replaced with this...... 58 plate STi Type UK in Obsidian Black It's our first brand new car and I just thought, sod it, you only live once!! Getting 18's with it, mesh front grill, fogs and a load of interior accessories, so it'll look a lot better once it's sorted. Supposedly the black UK car's are very rare, (they're not even an option in the brochure), but knowing my luck they'll be loading a ship with 1000 of the buggers as I type this!! TBH the car looks loads better in the flesh than in the photos and I'll be sorting the rear lights asap!!! So if anyone wants a mint WRX wagon, give S&S in Ayr a ring Mike
  11. Nice job, mate, wouldn't be blackfire would it?? Mike
  12. Nice pics Chris, not a surprise to see some laydeeezzz, lol Mike
  13. I bought rear didscs 6 months ago as they had a 12 month anti warping guarantee, they're now warped and I'll need to contact him, but I do find him very hard to get hold of. If he wants the discs back that'll be a big problem as my car is my daily driver!!!
  14. Hi and welcome Scotty!! I'm from Stirling and I'll give you a wave if I see you!! me and the mrs both drive 53 plate blue wrx's, hers is the wagon All the Best Mike
  15. trust me Colin, I was sweating!!!
  16. I'm not sure, but certainly, I didn't fancy any of these options, I'm just happy I got away without a producer/retest/fine!! God knows what was wrong with cars they took away on the low loader, my initial thought was maybe no insurance or possibly bad mechanicals, but the clio and corsa were only about 4/5 years old, so who knows! I was keeping my head down and gob shut, although driving a blue scooby with big wing etc the car was probably doing the talking for me!!!
  17. depends, could fail on emmissions and I don't want to have to pay for a sports cat or go back to standard!!
  18. I was driving to work on the A9 this morning and as I came up to the Broxden roundabout (Perth) there was a big tailback. Then I saw the police slow sign and thought, oh dear - an accident! As I was driving past the coned off lane I got pulled over by a traffic cop and it turns out there was no accident, it was a traffic cop checkpoint with VOSA!! By the time I stopped my car I wasn't worried about being late for work, it was the 2 issues of my (ahem) slightly updated font on my plates and my full decat!!!!!!! I was even less happy to see them load 4 cars onto low loaders that they had deemed illegal and the drivers were being told to walk to the bus stop or arrange alternative transport!!! (never seen anything like it) After 15 minutes of traffic cops going round my car and a couple of dozen questions later, the cop in charge said "off you go", honestly, I've never been so relieved Be warned if you're on the A9 to Perth!!!! Mike
  19. Looking fantastic Andy!! Nice to see it up and running instead of stripped down!!! Cars running sweet since you spotted the breather hose crack All the Best Mike
