  3. Hi, scratch the (possible) its a yes from me now.

Just wondered, when you say we're meeting up for breakfast, are we planning on eating something before we go or shal I book a bed and breakfast, opposed to just a bed haha.

Fantastic news! We're having breakfast courtesy of Europa Subaru as they are laying on croissants at their premises :)

  4. If you don't object to a standard wrx hatch tagging along, I'm still hoping to make it..not likely to hit sheffield though till close to when u plan on leaving so will pass on breakfast..cheers ..

Lol of course we don't object - the more the merrier :)

Will do mate and thanks for letting me know :icon_salut:

  7. Guys,

I have spoken to John at Europa today and unfortunately due to the decrease in numbers he cannot guarantee that Subaru will still send one of their cars up for the meet however, everything else remains the same.

    Cheers,

    Rach

  8. This is not looking too good for me at the moment, just had a new up pipe fitted at scooby clinic yesterday and now one of my front calipers is sticking on which has caused the discs to warp, I might be picking up some second hand calipers discs and pads on Thursday so depends if I get them fitted in time or not !

Also my mate starsky who is on the list is going to have to drop out as his hawkeyes engine Is knackered, not having much luck at the minute between us !

    I'll keep you posted

List adjusted accordingly, hope you get the scoob sorted soon

  9. hya all can you stick my mate down as my plus one looking forward to it big time the hills are alive to the sound of scoobys lol cheers :smiley-taunt014:

Consider it done. I presume you're going to give us a personal rendition of your singing on Sunday? :D

  11. I'm going to have to duck out of this one, still driving around with 2 concrete blocks in the boot, due to the OS rear shock being seized up, hopefully Subaru will come through and let me have the replacement through warranty as it is less than a year old and has covered less miles than the warranty they offer.

Glad you enjoyed it, the first meet is always a little daunting isn't it?

Thanks for the kind comments and don't worry there will be plenty more meets to come

  14. Plan for the day is as follows:

Meet at Europa Subaru at around 10am for breakfast

    Europa,

    Granville Square,

    48 Suffolk Road,

    Sheffield,

    S2 4AL

I should imagine we will be there for a hour or so therefore I anticipate we will start the run at around 11 -11.30am

    Planned route here

As you'll see the route is approximately 2 hours long so we should be at the Ladybower Inn for around 1.30pm where we can have a drink and take those all important photos. From there it will be entirely up to you whether you want to head off home or follow me to take Nick up on his very kind offer of free chip butties at

    The Fox and Hounds,

    Marsh Lane,

    Eckington,

    Sheffield,

    S21 5RH

If there's anything I've missed or just something you're not sure about then just shout and I'll do my best to give you a sensible answer :D

    Cheers,

    Rach

  15. I would like to echo everyone elses comments on thanks to Rachel for organising a great event, to Josh for hosting. The food was indeed lovely :-)

    Hi all

Big thanks to josh for having us,just tested out cidre chalice..tastes so much better

Big thanks to rach for organising it all

Good to get everyone around big table, think it helps when you don't know anyone.

Great first meeting, good to meet you all here's to the next one :occasion14:

Glad you both enjoyed it as much as I did - I couldn't have wished for a better 1st meet and the thanks are very much appreciated. Any anxiety I had before the meet was increased ten fold when we got stuck in the traffic and I knew we were going to be late but that was dispelled as soon as we arrived and saw what a great turn out we had.

Scoobyjoff - the next 3 weeks can't pass quick enough I'm SO excited about the Peak District run! :boldblue:

Scoobro - real shame you can't make it to the run but hopefully there'll be another one in the not too distant future (unless the route I've planned turns out to be really pants and nobody ever wants to repeat it :o )

  17. Love the red blob :Scottish-flag:

That's my little girlie, goes by the name of Rubes or Ruby Tuesday to give her her full name - kind of pretty isn't she?

Of course red is the BEST colour for a scoob - that's a given ;)

  18. well a date will have to be arranged then go from there if we have meet in september we can arrange then.If its a midweek day i.e wed/thurs can sort a 'better' deal. Our christmas meal is usually around 19.95pp (starters, mains, desserts, coffee mince pies) and is always a hit i also hope to have some movement on the rooms. Singles are priced at 67.50 doubles twins 85.00 triple 100.00 but i can get these all at a good rate we also have superior rooms but will be same price throughout. All rooms are en suite etc. once we get numbers sorted (ish) i can start working out discounts which should be substantial for you guys :)

just pm me rach if any info is needed.

    J

Fantastic! We'll definately sort this soon

  19. im off to get a chinky in a bit (Food) so i know how joe feels. It was a pleasure and SIDC are always welcome.I think the loyalty scheme that we do would be a good idea i can start us a card up and put points on from today and have a few meets before crimbo and it will give us a good start on drinks/food come christmas or when ever we meet up for a dooooooooooo.

    J

I think the loyalty card is a very good idea, I can guarantee we will be visiting you again soon plus holding our Christmas meal there has already been discussed by several of us so when do we have to book it by? ;)

  20. Just got in and waitingfor kettle to boil. May have to try out the CIDRE Chalice later, thanks Josh.:thumbup:

Great meet, great people and an excellent pub. Well worth the trip.

When's the next one Rach ????

We have the Peak District run in 3 weeks time Don, then we have RallyDay and Trax so I should think the next Lincoln meet will be sometime in September :o (sounds such a long time away but I'm sure it'll be here before we know it).
