  1. I insure my car through K Micheals and have got their recovery insurance as well, my scoob broke down tonight with the wife driving and the recovery people have refused to recover it home as it needs a flatbed vehicle which is a specialist piece of kit and so charged us £75 to get the car home. (20 miles)

This means that everybody who has the same recovery insurance, its useless, unless it can be fixed at the side of the road, you will be stuck with an extra payment to get the car home, god knows what it would cost if you were miles from home.I can't tell you how furious i am.

  2. Sorry can't help with diagnosis, but would telephone garage and take car straight back for them to rectify. If they are unhelpful i would give Zen Performance a ring on 01993-675432

  3. Would think long and hard about going 2.5L direction, totally changes the way the scoob behaves, non of the sudden rush you get from the 2.0L, but lots of torque, never have to change gear on the road, just accelerates when you want to overtake. I've a 2.5L in mine and struggled at the 30-130, but it is easy to drive on the road, very smooth, just make sure what you want from your scoob, before making the decision.

  4. Normally do the cleaning myself, but once or twice a year, get a proessional to do it all as i haven't got 2 days to spend cleaning the car. I got the red sunstrip from David Campbell, he used to do the rally graphics for the Subaru team, he can be contacted on david@designs-uk.com or 01295 254777.

  5. 2.5L in mine, plus bigger injectors, FMIC, Sports downpipe, remapped by Paul at Zen Performance, seems quick enough for the road, but am hoping to make rolling road day in March to find out. Plus don't forget if you are uprating the power the brakes will also need doing, possibly before the hike in power, also clutch could need uprating as well.

I would recommend Zen on 01933-675432, depending on where you are.

  6. Hi John

I did 2 track meets last year, both at Silverstone.

    1. Jap Tuners Show - International Circuit

    2. Trax Show - Full GP Circuit

Both about £25 for 20 mins.

Have done track day at Snetterton, but i find after going round the same circuit more than 10 times gets boring for me. Lots of track days in SIDC shop and if you find Trackmasters on the internet, they always have some going on. Also there is Johnathon Palmers circuit just ouside Bedford and they run all the time and have a hugely long straight for top speed attempts.
