    Items For Colin.mcrae Raffle. Santa Pod.

    Hi all S.I.D.C. I will be bring some items that have had signed by MotorSport Driver from Brands Hatch.

    All item will be Raffled of and all money will be going to a Charity of Colin Mcrae's Family choice.

    Prize 1

    The item are x1 Fomula Ford slik tyre used on the day straight of the car signed by 9 of the Fomula Ford Drivers + x1 W.T.C.C (World Touring Car Championship) Cap signed by Varoius GT porcher and GT drivers.

    Prize 2

    x1 W.T.C.C cap signed by most of the W.T.C.C Drivers + x1 S.I.D.C. cap signed by GT porsher and GT & James Tompson( B.T.C.C & W.T.C.C) Driver.

    Prize 3

    x1 W.T.C.C cap signed by varoius GT porsher & GT drivers.

    A set of 5 raffle tickets will be £2. Please come over and see me for tickets and i will have all the items with me on Sunday so you can see what you will get. A list of some of the Drivers that signed items for me.

    Raffle will be done at 1pm at the sidc main stand.

    Remember this is all for a good reason so Give with your heart.

    I went to Brands Hatch all this weekend for the W.T.C.C ( World touring car champership) They had GT racing and Porcher GT racing and fomula masters racing and fomula Ford, Classic Touring Cars there. I say this as i got alot of Drivers ( most of the WTCC ) to sign a Slick Tyre they used on Fomula Ford and a S.I.D.C cap and 3 other WTCC caps

    all signed. Some of the Drivers were = ANDY PRIAULX ( WTCC champion) JORG MULLER ( BTCC/WTCC chapion) JAMES TOMPSON ( BTCC chapion) and COLIN TURKINGTON (BTCC/WTCC ) and Fomula Ford and GT drivers among other.

    Are you LOCKTIGHTING this bolt, should'nt be a problem if it is, Renewing bolts/nuts should be ok try inspecting threads etc.

    Anther little trick we used when racing wasi to paint the nut/bolt with a small ammount of paint was a good indicator of any signs of loosening etc.

    Serious bad luck to happen twice mate. hope you got it sorted.

    Thanks for the info. New pully and bolt and key. Looks like the thread on the crank is a bit p"""ed but back on the road now and will soon find out on the run to Jap Finals this week.

    Hi Jason, whats the problem?

    Nothing that can't be fixed before Japshow I hope :driving:

    I went to the reading meet on tueday had a good night lots of great cars and two s.i.d.c members were there too. But trouble on the way home got half way down the m4 to london when the bolt that holds the Crank shaft pully on came loose making the pully and the belys come off. This happend almost a year again to date, the same thing happened to me. I replaced the pully and camebelt did it up to the manufactory limits but now it gone again. IS THIS A COMMON THING ???? any one help. im putting the car back together again next weekend. I got a brand new pully/nut/and key so all go's good this time. The engine is ok no damage there i think, sound ok anyway turnning over ok.

    Its booked in for 28th so hope to have it back on monday i hope !

I did this as i thought that if you think its a good idea that maybe they could be raffled of as a prize or to the highist bidder and what ever we get can go towards the Colin.M found. Just an idea.

    I will be bringing these items to Jap Final.

    Id love to come to santa pod! ive been there before and i loved it!!

    Just a quick question.... do SIDC have their own space to park cars etc or do we jus show up and park anywhere?? would be nice to see all the scoobies in one place and take some pictures!!

    If all you guys are going together please let me know as i live near romford on the A12 & it would be cool if we all went together dont you think???

    Hi yes we have a stand there but no you cant just turn up on the stand. You will need a stand pass to on the stand. You pay at the gate to get in to the show. You need to talk to WIMPY in the Bucks area as he will have the stand pass. They may be in the store too so try there. At the moment i think they are about 55 scoobys on the sidc stand. So contact WIMPY ( Ian ) a.s.a.p. All the best and hope to see you they. I will be meeting Wimpy along the way with his convoy and i will get my pass then so if Ian says he as one for you. You can join me up there if you want !

    My Nan passed away this week so it's been difficult for me as it's really hit me hard.

    But Kaz gave me a poem to remember her by and I'd like to share that with Colin's family.

    My deepest thoughts are with all the families who knew Colin and his Son.

    "If tears could build a staircase,

    and memories a lane,

    I'd walk right up to heaven,

    and bring you home again"

    I love the poem Frenchy. Nice one.

    My love and thoughts go out to you and your famaily and all famailys involved, Colin will not be for gottern. Colin was the reason why i got so intrested in motorsport and to own a Subaru Impresa. Again a great Sportsmen that will be missed but not forgottern.
