  9. Hey everyone. A couple things really, first I'd like to hear some power figures, was just wondering what the average figures were for scoobs around the area. Mine was put on a rolling road at Triton Motorsport in Bournemouth and reached 294bhp. I was told that if I had it re-mapped it would reach 330bhp ish, but as far as I know the average price of a re-map is between £500-£600 pounds? Unless anyone knows different? Also I have a leak when it rains. My car is parked on a sloping driveway (front facing downwards), and somewhere there is water getting in, and making the rear seats damp. Any ideas? Common problem?
  10. Cheers bud!
  11. Ok cheers jd. Any idea where I can get a full maintainence manual? I'm guessing you have one, if so, where did you find yours?
  12. Hi everyone, I'm going to do an oil change on my 1999 impreza turbo, which I've not done on a subaru before, and was looking for a haynes maintainence manual, but apparently they don't make one!! Any suggestions where I could get such a manual, and also maybe someone could tell me where abouts the drip bolt/plug is and the oil filter, as I had a quick scan over the engine earlier and couldn't find it. Cheers, Matt.
  13. I decided to keep hold of it for a while mate, love it too much!

  20. Help! Today I dropped my car (a 1999 english impreza turbo) into the local subaru garage for a service and cam-belt change. I recieved a phone call a couple hours later saying there were a number of things that needed attention, the main one being my rear diff. They claim to have found 3 'teeth' in the oil when they were changing it, and quoted me £2800 for a new diff, fitted. General 'wear and tear' as they put it, and it could go anytime, from today to a couple year's time. However, on speaking to somebody else, they have told me that if there were 3 teeth missing it simply wouldn't drive and may 'explode'. Are subaru being a bit naughty here and trying it on? I only know the basics on engines and mechanics so somebody HELP!!! Cheers, Matt.
  21. Ok thanks for the help guys, I'll give those web sites a bash! Matt
  22. Hi everyone, I've just got myself a modified scooby running just under 300 bhp. I love it, but I feel the brakes aren't too great. I'd like to improve them but don't want to spend £1500 on the whole break kit. Any thoughts on what combination of discs and pads I could use to improve things? Cheers, Matt.
