Also for anyone looking to upgrade or change their alarm system, you could go for the system i have which is a gsm one, which basically means that you can control all the cars functions from a phone, be it mobile or landline, this also includes: locking/unlocking, remote start/stop, 24hr monitoring via a phone, remote activation of alarm from anywhere, and also the ability to stop the engine safely to bring the car to a halt should it be stolen.Because its a gsm system, it can also be 'tracked'. Nothing is foolproof , i know, but you can only do your best to protect it as much as possible.
