Cracking pictures as usual. Agree about Sunday sitting on the start line with the wipers on full and not being able to see much was interesting

Will be stopping off at Happendon tomorrow to see if that statement holds any truth. Even if the engine is fubar i reckon there will be still enough salvagable bits to make the lifting of the block into the back of the van worthwhile.
Stick some tennis balls in the combustion chamber and stick it on Ebay as a competition block, one nutter of an owner
Would love to see this block reused

The only place I take my race car is Progrip in Bonneybridge. Top quality work and a cracking guy as well.

Now thats harsh, I will have you know when I am awake at work i am very conscientious. I also always check that there are no friends or family on board anything I have worked on
Now anyone up for a flight to London, Manchester, Birmingham ...... But if your in any doubt stay at home for the next two weeks
Remember that pilots are only bus drivers with nicer uniforms and posh accents ...

Unfortunately some insurance companies (mine) now state that if you say your car is garaged then you must put your car in the garage if you are within a mile of you home.
So that prevents some members from offering up a space
If I think of anyone that has a empty place I'll let you know.
Fair comment hadn't really thought of it that way.
John will send you an email tomorrow, thanks for the offer, have sorted soemthing out.

If I said Kames in 3 weeks would it sound preposterous ?

Guys looking for some help from someone with a secure garage near dyce in Aberdeen. Hoping to come up to Aberdeen to do the Fintry Hill climb on Sat 10th and Sun 11th May. Problem is I need somewhere secure to store the car from probably the 7th through to the 12th as I will be working up in Aberdeen over that period and don't want to leave it unsecured. If anyone can help out drop me a PM.
thanks

They did quite a bit of powder coating on parts for my track car and the finish is excellent, probably to good for a track car

Any one know where i can get two wheels that are slightly buckled put back into shape. Kenny at Kenny brown engineering mentioned a place called ace engineering or similar near shotts that did such a thing but i cannot find them. Also need the other redone at the same time.
Any ideas where i can go?
I have had a wheel straightened by Chameleon in Renfrew made a good job of it .

The place I am thinking of is in a small row of businesses ( car garages, windscreen place and Mot garage, etc) set back from the road (South Street) on the right hand side if you are heading towards Yoker (away from Partick)
As I said though I dont know if they are any good or not.
Cheers will nip down and have a look :icon_salute:
John you know fine well she is only partly house trained, so I am surprised you mentioned the idea.
Off to drill some big holes and use MY new tap.

Thanks for the help guys will take a trip down to whiteinch and see if the shop is there and also give transcal a phone. Transcal is the one I was thinking about as I seem to remember someone on here who had their seat retrimmed there and they looked very good. May be too pricey for the cheap repair I am after

Hi
Iam thinking about buying a sports cat down pipe for my05 sti does it make a big difference. I have purchased a de-cat pipe for the second cat
If you use a prodrive sports cat, it couples to the 3rd cat removal pipe. Many other sports cats as previously mentioned extend straight to centre exhaust section. I fitted the prodrive sports cat, 3rd cat removal pipe, straight through centre section, STI decat up-pipe and some other mods to my 05 WRX. With the mandatory ANDY F remap it transformed the car.

Any one know of any seat upholsterer's or repairers around the Glasgow area.

Agree inform your insurance company and the police.
I had a similar situation a few years back. The wife reversed out of a friends drive and knocked over a motorbike which was parked across the street. Totally her fault but the guy comes out of the house effing and blinding etc. He then tries to pick the bike up and promptly drops it on the other side damaging the fairing handle bars etc on the side which was not damaged. He then tells his insurance company that all the damage was from the impact.
Unfortunately for him I had 4 witnesses that seen the incident and in the end my insurance paid for the damage to one side and he had to pay for the other side. The best bit is I knew the guy and ripped the piss constantly as he was an a+++ anyway.

Not good. A sad sad day, heart goes out to the families if this is confirmed.
