  1. I've been in and out of the forum for a few years now, and having stopped coming here due to it being too clicky (i.e: if your face fits you are fine). Logged in a few weeks back to see a message from a chap earlier this year, so Im not what you call an active member. I have been a paid up member in the past, however i think this just stinks. I cant see the need to pay to view a forum..hell, I dont pay for porn on 2 legs so i'm not going to pay for it on 4 wheels. If you want to ask why the forum has gone downhill, just look at the senior members first, ciao
  2. I got it a while back and initially I wasnt impressed with it. I have been converted though since then, and am currently plugging away at the b-spec races. There are a couple of things that annoy me in general about the game:- Why has it taken 5 years to make? I cant see whats been done in that time tbfh What is up with online...you may get 2 or 3 races then "You have been disconnected from the lobby" and have to go back online and start again...annoying Engine sounds, tyre squeals.....come on fellas, whats the game there? dont say you ran out of time? they are minor points I know, but still. The game is pretty good, was messing about tonight with a new car I bought and some piccies ...NJOI
  3. I was a member for 2 years, but havent been for the past 2 years now. 2 scooby owners here (when I can sort the classic out for the wife) but the main reason is very very small, but really got on my nips...simply when I first joined, i bought the pack plus 2 extra sidc stickers, and they never arrived, despit me raising aticket way back in the day. asked the following year when i renewed and still nothing so stuff it. Very trivial to say the least, but still gets my goat now. I also tend to flit in and out of here infrequently, and dont do the shows now either so not really any benefit. theres something else bugging me but thats not for here. ah well. It was a blast while it lasted
  4. started to do the graphics today and did the bonnet, but found that there were massive gaps in the silver and red stripes, so looked naff side by side...improvisation here we come
  5. Get yourself some dunflops, or bridgephoneys, maybe Michelobs...or any of the cheap chip fat ones
  6. that has a shockingly bad body kit on it. Looks like something a blind man has designed.
  7. yes mate...43 year old grandad cheers big man.....new car is ace, love it to bits and so much smoother than the classic I have
  8. Sorry for posting, but theres a photo competition on a website I frequent that I have entered my grand daughter Maiya into. I need as many votes as possible please, so if you can spare a few moments, can you go to the canvas dezigns website and click vote on Maiya's photo please? The website is http://www.canvasdezign.co.uk/competition/index.php?start=75 and the photo in question is possibly the best i have ever taken..... thanks in advance everyone.....dont vote for me...vote for maiya...look into her eyes, not around the eyes, into the eyes Ta
  9. Old car and new car...well, both mine but you know what I mean
  10. I was originally looking at an 05 scooby, ppp etc, but my finance would only go to 6k. Got one now though, picking it up on saturday
  11. Also, graphics...love them or hate them, if you had to put some on...what would it be? I love the cusco ones, but if I get the blue 03 plate (which is looking likely) then they will look a bit odd, unless there is a colour combination that would go with blue (like the green of the wrc for example) this looks reasonable
  12. Yea, and Anna will have the old one when i sort its running problem out...2 subaru household
  13. I was looking at the Prodrive website at prices for the PPP pack....1700 quid? wtf lol
  14. hi chaps and chappessess, looking to get a new car, and h ave finance of 6k to spend...got a couple of wrx's in my sights, but just looking for advice really. I want as new a car as possible, and have seen a few from 04 and 05. Has to be a turbo obviously, so the options I have are as follows.... 1. Blue 53 plate - 53000 - 2 owners and PPP pack(with certificate) - taxed and test next year - 41 miles away - £5990 2. Black 54 plate - 81000 - PPP pack - Tax and MOT next year - 196 miles away!!!! - £5995 3. Silver 04 plate - 53000 - 2 owners - no PPP - private plate (666 eek) - 35 miles away - £5995 4. Black 04 plate - 83000 - 3 owners - No PPP - 50 miles away - £5995 5. Blue 03 plate STi spec - 74000 - SL model with Leather and sunroof - 139 miles away - £5995- (but keighly trade sports ) 6. Blue 04 plate - 76000 - 3 owners - No PPP - private reg (555 JET) - 129 miles away - £5990 Now, when I get it, I am loking to put graphics on, and particularly want the Cusco graphics, so silver or black would prob be the best option, if its blue would be the wrc colours.......dont slate me for this, I'm 43 and in a crisis lol help me out guys...hers a link to the autotrader search so you can check them out..... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/search/used/ca...UBARU%20IMPREZA
  15. thing is.....the knock on effect of this doesnt bear thinking about. If they bring out these cameras all over, the likelyhood is we will all get points...wont take long to start getting bans all round, therefore less people buying fuel as nobody is driving, therefore less tax going to the government, so we then have less money in the country, so the price of the pound goes down to nothing, and we cant afford to borrow money from other coutries to bail us out..... load of tosh
  16. well, just had another run out and have decided I really need to get smooth tyres on mine rather than the MTB ones I've got on now, as the rolling resistance is very noticeable on the downhill sections when my mate just freewheeled away from me heres the route anyway on the runkeeper website http://rnkpr.com/a4pwz7 I did want to cry on the first hill as its a short sharp incline that I hate...dont mind the longer steady inclines if i'm honest Any recommendations on tyres? been looking on wiggle and the ones i am looking at are the Continental Ultra Gatorskin MTB Tyre (http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Continen...yre/5360021704/) so has anyone used these themselves?
  17. That's on my rockhopper mountain bike with the same tyres on as when bought. What I'm doing is using the nobblies to give me a lot of resistance then swapping them for smoother tyres in a month or two for the London to Brighton so I'll find it easier
  18. hardest ride by far today......loads of headwind and rain = very slow pace indeed :P
  19. I've created a monster mentioning runkeeper if they could only iron out the tiny niggles it would be a 10/10 app
  20. The runkeeper app is great, however the GPS issue is well documented on the forum on the runkeeper site. I think they did something as an update which has made the gps dodgy. everyone says it was fine before Version 2 and i cant believe runkeeper are ignoring the issue. What I have found though is that you need to turn the app on and leave it for a minute or 2 inline of site ofthe satellites, so outside I suppose. Once its got the green gps, click the start activity and turn the screen off, otherwise it will eat the battery something chronic. All in all though, for free its ace, and no need to buy the product which is a bit bizarre, but hey ho. If they sorted out the GPS issue I would actually buy the full thing. I do like the graph at the bottom of the page showing height, speed etc...really good idea of where you need to push (like the 7.6 mph split on your ride pmac ) good ride though, and good average speed...mines down at about 10.45, but i have noticed a marked improvement in times to and from work etc
  21. theres a guy at work thats a keen runner, and he has used them. He did say they are awful to swallow, very gooey, but they do work very well (so he says) As for shoes, I have some, but not got the pedals yet, probably order them next week (payday ). Gonna get them before the london to brighton in june so i can practice as they take some getting used to
