  2. Nice work on the 'de-restoring' Neil
  3. works really well on the 6R4 shot, can i do anything like this with my PS Elements 6? i cant even work out how to put 1 layer on top of another.!
  4. cheers John, that looks more like it,i'll try and get them changed.
  5. Hi folks, looking for some advice on the correct mintex part number for rear pads on my 2000 m/y uk turbo,i bought the following from a motor factors, MDB1497,thinking that all i had to do was swap them over............no such luck! according to the shops computer these are the correct pads for my car(he used my reg. no. to check),and as you can see from the box it says impreza range 92-00. Of course when i try to fit them,i noticed the lugs/cut outs are slightly different from the Red Stuff ones i'm removing, and that they dont fit because of the springy retaining clips on the caliper. If i take the clips out they fit,but i'm not sure if i should be doing that.So to prevent a 'Welsho' situation i thought it best to check with some of the more techy guys on here.Heres a few pics which might help. P.S. i know the pads are just a standard compound,it's just to keep me going for a month or two(MOT etc) after that i will be getting calipers refurbed and new discs. calipers showing springy clip thing........ box with new pads............ new pads.............
  6. I know there is a bit of a mixed reaction to WL's styling, but after seeing it in the flesh at the Central/Lothians meet tonight, trust me when i say it 'needs' the wide arched bodykit to pull of the overall presence this beast has! It is simply awesome looking close up,and the engineering SW has done is a work of art.The sound of this thing is enough to make a grown man go weak at the knees, when it pulled away, there was screaming and whining then a big whoosh,bang,pop!!!..........and that was just in my pants! p.s nice to meet you Chris
  7. I was at the British Rallycross Championship meeting at Knockhill today and caught this wee series of shots, unfortunatley i was shooting directly in front of me and just caught this further up the track,a bit too far away for my lens, but i just snapped away regardless. So apoligies for the out of focus, grainy appearance, but i think you'll get the story............................. ............and thankfully he walked away!
  8. lol! says the man with 1 bucket and 1 old sponge,i need to get myself one of those Kathy, the old Cat looks good.
  9. Nice shots Neil,i'm afraid i've not got anything dramatic as spraying water or flames, couldn't be ersed getting out the car till the rain went off,a couple of mine................
  10. spotted a white, classic wrx sti, and a yellow classic (sport?) with subaru decal on rear window, both parked at the same house.
  11. nice boots dude......................still cold up youre way then
  12. Some nice shots there guys,i will hopefully get to Doune this Saturday, but SMRC racing season starts at Knockhill on Sunday so we'll see how it goes.Phil, what settings are you using for the panning shots? try putting your dial to 'S' and maybe start off at speeds of around 200-300 untill you get used to it, then, you can even take it down a bit more if you have a steady hand, this will put more 'life' into your cars ,blurring the background and the moving wheels a little .....its all about practice mate. p.s. i am in know way a photographer,i just like taking photees!
  13. I thought i'd give this a wee try,you could easily spends hours if not days chopping/changing, painting, fitting bodykits, decals, vinyls, wheels and of course tuning, but its not all about the speed of your car. Some of the top designers on Forza just spend their time working on their replicas of Ken Bloc's subaru or WRC cars etc and then sell them on for in-game credits on their storefront. This might be a bit too 'geeky' for some gamers but, heres a couple of mine, feel free to add your own........... and of course we all know this guy p.s. i know JW hasnt got an Sti but its the nearest i could get.
  14. know what you mean, one of my foglight brackets have gone as well, are these part of the bumper or do they come seperate?
  15. i remember that................stupid boy!
  16. I doubt it was Welsho,i'm sure i saw him elsewhere that day ................................
  17. As the weather was in my favour i thought i'd have a go at some bodywork DIY,I've had a replacement rear bar in the shed for months since i noticed one of my number plate lights hanging down.Removed the old one to find this...................................... the rest of the rear end was solid so i guess it's just the bar thats made from tin foil! the nr. plate light brackets had to go back on after a wire brush job for now until i get a decent set. Broke about 4 of the stupid wee plastic clips, what a pain some of those were! Still its another job done
  18. looks superb Richie,i didnt realise how low your wagon sits at the front!.....you must get a few scary,'will i still have a front splitter' moments then.
  19. thats crap mate, much damage? were the cops involved?did they check his phone for evidence of recent use?.....i'm a nosey git!
  20. mods must have been busy lately Bobby as there have been a good few "third party"/ "selling on behalf of a mate" threads that have 'slipped through the net',including cars,a red classic wagon Gus the bus was 'selling on behalf of a mate' springs to mind(no offence Gus,just using it as an example).......still rules is rules as they say.
  21. my photoshop skills are not the best,but.........here goes...........................i changed the colour slightly but i think the wheels look better!............i also shopped in a new back ground to make it more pleasing to the eye,i also managed to remove your driving gloves hope you likey!
