  1. Fairly sure the midsection is a resonator not a CAT. Cat is in the downpipe only. Paul
  2. J...not seen the article mate. Can you send a copy if you don't mind. Handed the cheque over last Friday - £6623.25. Good effort all round
  3. we broke the £6000 mark...handover the cheque at Prodrive on Friday Some more pics from the day....
  4. Alternatively, fit used STI dampers and springs complete
  5. Yes to different springs fitted to different models etc. My previous Scoob was a 05 PPP and I fitted H&R springs from Germany, highly rated. Another German make is eibach - eibach springs were fitted to the P1 when that came out. All I would say, is don't go too low unless you change the dampers too. The H&R took mine down by 35mm ( I lived in Germany and these came recommended for the Ring) but tbh, a drop of 30mm is probably better suited for UK roads - hence my choice would be the Eibachs. Don't leave it too late or ya dampers will be tired and won't match to the new springs. Will take you about 4hrs to change all 4 on a drive if that helps. My P1 on eibachs is fantastic.
  6. Total is over £6000 now. Rob...ya missed a good one mate. Basically SPTA didn't speak to estates....we did it right. It looks like we'll do it again but next time we're gonna close the entire DTA. Keep in touch.....fancy the Ring next year mate?? Jazz
  7. http://www.prodrive.com/p_releases.html?id=245 Press release from Prodrive
  8. Total is about £5700 now with some tins to come in and money from bands too. Will we hit the £6000...hope so Great to put names to faces. Great bunch. SP where do you hold the Friday meets? Ya never know, may get the chance when I'm not heading north.
  9. Glad you all had a fantastic day...once in a life time opportunity. Rides in Challenger 2 and Prodrive prepared rally cars don't happen that often. Thanks to all those club members who attended, it was great to meet you all. Still can't get over the blast in the cars....best £10 I've spent and I'm a tight Yorkshireman I'd like to echo what SP said, a massive thanks to Jackie, Ray and the rest of the Prodrive team who supported me and made this event possible. I've not counted but I reckon we made £5000 for Help for Heroes. SP...will send u an email when things have calmed down. Cheers all Paul
  10. This is now CLOSED. I'll send an e-mail out to all thoses who have e-mailed me with details. Cheers all
  11. Prezza...kip away mate Scooby Princess...would be good to have few more Scoobs but need numbers by this Thursday (17th) or Friday morning at the latest. All that are intersted, i need an e-mail sent to me at Paul.Jarratt678@mod.uk confirming full name, vehicle type, car reg....so that I can arrange clearance on the front gate to camp. I'll have some guys on the gate ticking people off a list. Promises to be a good day...wet weather programme is a brollie but that makes it more interesting for the car-cabbies
  12. Anyone interested and can attend, email at the address below: Paul.Jarratt678@mod.uk Plan on closing the thread in the very near future
  13. This is 100% going ahead, therefore those who are a definate - drop me an email at Paul.Jarratt678@mod.uk and I'll email times and directions etc. I'll need details to get everyone booked onto camp. I'm looking at getting the scoobs lined up about an hour prior to prodrive arriving. Unfortunately, due to the scale of this now, numbers are limited to those that have already put names down. Thanks guys. Cheers all
  14. Nur spec does fit mate. Mine has a Ninja 2 and cent pipe fitted. If you fit the downpipe, you'll certainly need a remap or you'll be asking for trouble. The ninja 2 is fantastic...really deep burble and a fantastic growl when you plant the foot.
  15. just to keep u informed...this is still going ahead but currently on leave PHM P1 Pezza Bigfootjim
  16. Just to keep you all updated. Jackie and Ray from Prodrive came to our place yesterday...big thumbs up! Date is the 26th Sept 09. Sounds like we'll have to 'rec' cars to play in on the area aswell as the LMp1 and P2 making an appearance. Waiting for Landrover and displays. I'll have to cap numbers but at the minute, get ya names down to support Prodrive PHM P1 Pezza Bigfootjim
  17. Ok, back again...date change which will hopefully help some of us out. Having spoke to Jackie again, we've decided to go for the 26th Sept 09, the following Saturday. I've posted this on a couple more club sites but may have to limit numbers....like I said, this is for Prodrive, so lets support them for a change. PHM P1 Pezza
  18. I'm aware it's the Rally Weekend but having spoke to Jackie yesterday, this is the only date suitable for ourselves and Prodrive. The date was actually decided by Prodrive too. Oh well, needs must and it looks like I'm not off to the Rally Day PHM P1 Pezza
  19. Can confirm it's the 19th September. Prodrive will be bringing a number of cars inc the P2 and hopefully the Le Mans winner. Rides will be available but at a charitable donation for help for heroes will be the way we're going. I'll be after a number of cars to line the route to the static display, so at the mo, more the merrier. Just add ya name below and car type PHM P1 Pezza
  20. Prodrive Engineering Visit & Help for Heroes I'm in the middle of getting Prodrive & Landrover down to our camp in Tidworth (Wiltshire) and putting together a static display along side some military vehs and also some vehs prodrive will be bringing. Primarily it's geared towards the engineering link between ourselves and Prodrive/Landrover. Since Prodrive are celebrating 25yrs, the thought crossed my mind to get a few more P1s together and a couple of 22Bs, alongside my P1 and also some nicely modified Scoobs....to show the cars off and make a good photo shoot. We are looking at other possibilites to raise money for Help for Heroes inc some Pit Girls I hope , photos etc. We're also toying with the idea of putting Landrover/rally car against a Challenger 2 Battle tank on the training area Anyway, at the minute, the date is the 19th Sept 09. I've a meeting at Prodrive next week with Jackie and so, if anyone is interested in helping out then please add a name below. Obviously, exact details can't be confirmed untill meetings but it's good to gauge interest. Paul
  21. Had my belt and tensioner changed on the P1 at a Subaru dealer...cost inc VAT £510 That was with £40 knocked off too!! Could get it cheaper but you run the risk of non OE belts being fitted. The OE Subaru belt is expensive compared to 'lesser' belts shall we say. Not normally a brand person but when it comes to a cambelt which could utimately leave u with a massive hole in ya pocket, I'd spend the extra. Sorry for the bad news
  22. I always transit through on route to/from Tidworth. P1WOC stickers and LADS on one side and SIDC and colin Mcrae on other with P1 4*** plate. Impreza lettering under rear plate and Ring decals (hard to see due to cerise colour) on both sides and rear. Generally on a friday and Sunday.
  23. Came back after xmas and was pleasantly shocked to find that speed bump!! The p1 goes over no dramas - apparently the left is easier
  24. Check the Lancashire and District Subaru site out or SMACS mate.
