  1. Dipsy, Fab1 here, Alans other half. Yep it is an import 2.5 WRX. He got it from www.motor-depot.co.uk but I think they now want £15,495 ! Maybe saw i winner and bumped up the price. Jen.
  2. Here's hoping we get better weather than all this rain and gails! Jen
  3. Baltic as usual at knockhill but had a great day! Shame about the Lotus crash though! Hope they were all ok! Managed to spot a few of you in the SIDC gear, but didn't manage to say Hi, sorry guy's! However I was the one with the daughter dressed in pink at the wall looking over at the cars' racing. Hollie being very clever today learned a few new words, (she's only 16months) as I said to her what does the 'scoobie' say.....she replied......'vroom vroom' so yes for those of you standing beside us and having a hoot Hollie is our daughter being Alan-G and I, and yes she was loving the cars on the track and continually screamming VROOM VROOM!!! She LOVED her day at knockhill! I'm sure she'll be a rally driver when she gets older. Jen
  4. Absolutely superb news! Congratulations to you both. No need to get rid of the scooby it has 'isofix' so you can get the best car seat around for the wee baby! Alan and I have a daughter at 15 months old, so if we can give any advice just ask. Tell your wife to take it easy and enjoy the pregnancy. Jen
  5. The only money you should be paying your insurance company is your excess being therefore £350.00. You do not unless othewise stated in your policy that you should also pay her excess. That is not your problem but is included in the 'settlement' figure paid to her by your insurance. Again if your insurance company is asking for additional premiums in addition to the payment of the excess you do not under any circumsatances pay this until you recieve a written explanation to this by your company in reference to the insurance policy that you agreed to. Hope all this makes sense Jen
  6. Hi Scooby Highly irregular that the insurance company are asking you to pay in 'excess' of your excess. Your excess is £200 that constitutes in you policy that you pay £200 nothing else, hence the term 'excess'. If your insurance company is adament that you have to pay an additional £600 ask them to put this in writing to you and to ensure that they explain in writing why this is the case. For now I would only pay the £200 as stated in your policy. If you have your policy to hand then have a read at it, if you don't in the same phonecall to them, ask them to forward the details of your terms and conditions to you. There may be something in the 'small print' that allows them to claim additional expenses from you however this is highly unlikely. As I have said only pay the excess and explain that you require written explanations as to the additional requriement of the payment of £600. Jen
  7. Whoa!!!!!! hold your horses! Is your excess £800? of so then, yeah you do need to pay £800. However as you are going down the route of insurance company the only payment you make is your excess whatever that is and NOTHING more! check your policy! If the lady is going down the insurance route and asking you for an additional £800, then that is a fraudulent claim on her part! You don't pay anything to anyone unless it's your insurance company and only as I have said in payment of your excess. Jen
  8. Hi there scoobyfuz Firstly not good about all this. It's horrendous having an accident, main thing is no-one was serious injured. Moving on, and putting on my legal hat: Firstly you are liable due to the fact that you caused the accident by running into her, I;m sure I don't need to quote the traffic legislation used by the traf cops here, we all kinda know it....... Because of this legisislation you are at fault. Unfortunately. You admitted liability by providing your details to her. She did the correct thing by contacting her insurers. Who would repair the car at an approved garage that they use. This is where the 'monetary value' of the claim really is outwith your control. The garage views insurance claims as a bit of a lottery win, unfortunately, and everyone one's a bit of the cash. In my opinion go down the route of the insurance company, as I had said to Alan, your premiums aint gonna rise by 800 quid next year, and on top of that I would be seriously surprised if she doesn't go down the route of personal 'whiplash injuries'. I can explain this further if you want what she can claim, what she is liable to claim for and approx cost's. Aint good, and a hell of a lot more that £800. My advice, go down the route of your insurance company that's what you pay for, and in this instance because unfortunately you ran into the back of her the law is unfortunately greatly on her side. If you need any further advice just give my an IM. That's goes for any of you, I'm more Employment law orientated but will try to help in any way I can. Best wishes and off with the legal hat jen
  9. Hi Dougie Defo treat yourself to a 'hotlap' or 2 in the F1 car. Graham is the usual guy who drives the car, and what can I say..............it's absolutely spectacular. I'm glad I've done it, wouldn't do it again though, too scared of the speed thing. [] Just kinda like to watch the race and it would seem too much of a 'woose' to take part. Just out of curiosity Stephen......what's the difference between all those subaru's? they all looked the dogs bannanas! I meant all the black subaru's that were racing the mitsubishi! Jen
  10. Yeah did see the red and white mitsubishi racing! Alan and I were wondering who was driving the black scoobie! superb, very nice driving []
  11. Really! My goodness you guy's must have a lot of fun on the circuit! Don't tell Alan, he loved the rally experience, he'll be dying to do the track day if he know's it's better. []
  12. An organised day rally experience sounds a 'peach'! [] I thought the rally circuit to be superb......granted I had my eye's shut half way round it! but the 'grin factor' was off the scales! St3ph2n did you have the rally experience where you used the converted Sierra Consworth's with the rally 'expert' guiding you through the course, or did you have a shot in your own car? Jen
  13. The rally experience at knockhill is absolutely fantastic. I bought Alan the rally beginners course as a present, he loved every minute of it. Especially when 'Dunc' took over and Alan experienced the rally course as a passenger. Again he convinced me to have a 'wee' go. Again it was Graham that took me round the course, in the Ford Focus, would have been mental oriental in a Scoobie! However it is amazing...........you guy's need to try it []
  14. Hoi...........Alan-G who let you out of the doghouse to post? [:@] Severe grovelling tactics required. [6] Just out of curiosity, any of you guy's been round the knockhill rally circuit? Jen
  15. Hey Dougie, Will look out for you at the next track day, and will defo say Hello. As for the passenger laps, I'm more of a spectator. Bought a 'thrill' day for Alan for his birthday at knockhill which included the F1 2 seater experience. He loved it soooo much he convinced me to have a go. Graham 'the driver' was superb, however I have never been so terrified in all my life. I was phyiscally shaking...........it was a complete white nuckle ride all the way round the track. [] I loved to watch all the racing, but as for being a passenger, too scared....[:$] Will defo approach you guy's next time, and will try not to use the usual 'blonde' ice breaker questions. [6]
  16. Ah! should be easy to spot you lot then even being blonde [A] Guess that's an excuse for Alan to purchase some of the 'gear' then, means you lot can look out for the newbies too []
  17. LOL! Finally an explanation for the 'blonde one' among us! [] [] If you guy's had just explained that before Saturday [] Although to be honest I did see a lot of folk wearing the logo stuff, but didn't catch the usernames [:$]
  18. What a day! I had no idea that there would be such a turn out. The cars were outstanding never seen soo many Subaru's, Lotus and kit cars in the one place.....it was superb. Really baltic though, and enjoyed watching the race for a wee while before retreating to the car to defrost. You guy's need to post a location for us 'newbies' to 'home' into when we arrive. We weren't really sure who to speak too, and who really to approach......so much so that my 'blonde' thing kicked in, and I thought I would start a conversation with one of the Lotus Esprit drivers, who was returning to his car carrying a helmit. I started the conversation by saying gorgeous car is it your? on reflection he was carrying the key's and opening the car, so no surprise when he answered Yes. My next question was the belter........being are you racing today, he looked the racing helmit and politely replied Yes, with a slight smirk. Ah well trust me to bring the tone of the day down with my usual break the ice, blonde questions. [] [] Would have loved to have spoken to one of you, defo next time for the newbies, be on the look out for Alan-G and Fab 1, trying to discreetly to say hello [] Jen
  19. I thought I was bad with 'retail therapy'! It is a belter of a number plate...........so far we have the exhaust, the number plate.........what will be next ? []
  20. Hi Russ aka......Mako Thank you very much for the warm welcome! Alan and I would love to go the Stirling central meet, can you supply any more details, as we may need a babysitter, as with the Knockhill trackday! [] Jen
  21. Spoilers look superb! Alan and I visited the Falkirk dealership to enquire as to the price of an STI spoiler painted and fitted, the price just under £1000, defo will be looking into the 'Gus' Spoiler! Any other recommendations greatly appreciated. Jen
  22. Dont' tempt him........however in saying that might actually get him to go to the shops and return with Hollie's nappies in under the hour! []
  23. Make that a '56' Wrx [] Defo look out for us, what are you driving.....being obviously a scoobie but ie colour year etc etc ??? Jen
  24. It's great being a member of the site, not only are you all so friendly and full of great advice........I also get to keep tracks on what my husband spends on his car [6] I wondered what you were bidding on e-bay for! took bloomin ages! nearly fed the dog your dinner, till I realised we only have cats. The exhaust looks a 'peach' very impressive 'package' can't wait to hear how it sounds on the scooby! [] Jen
  25. Love the car....absolutely beautifull [] However what's all this about 'while women are at the shops'............[6]
