the rex rocket roared into kirky tonight to give me a hand drain and replace the coolant in my car. afterwards it was time to get the rocket ready for crail on sunday. first up came the c02 fire extinguisher, some mental 210 bar hose, fittings and a 16" eh bar. what the**** are we going to do wi this i thought but he had a cunning plan. first we fitted the bar to the front mount, then rigged the hose from the bar in through the bulkhead to the glove box,and then onto the fire extinguisher.the results are i think the rex rocket will put in some good times especially now that its had a methanol hit and a good dose of c02. Yes me to Peter welcome back mate.. SIDC and no DCI LEE not the same []

Does anyone know how much bhp / flbt more a new age car will need to have over a classic to be as fast ? I ask because the only advantage i can see a classic has, is weight. JAC
-
] sacrilege! it's interesting to read everyone's views on this - demonstrates the differences that we look for in a scoob. For me, I like classics because: - i love the 'sleekness' of their look - they feel smaller to drive (newages feel too bulky for me when i sit in one) - you can hear a lot more of whats going on in the engine - older car = cheaper road tax (always a bonus) - depreciation not a factor as they are older cars - association with Colin McRae and initial WRC success - rarer to see on the road than newages = exclusivity I've not driven a newage to compare against driving my RA so I may change my mind in the future [] I've not driven a classic to compare against ma bug STI [] So Imy the next time i bump in to you, why doint we have a go in each others cars []
-
LOL [] To far Peter not fiddle. Iam thinking about getting the WRX 5 speed chocolate box for ma STI. Would be good for crail but not sure how it would be on the road.

I want jimsers chocolate box [:|]

Hear is what you get for £100 a car Looks good from a distance but under closer inspection there are lots of bubbles. I showed the boy them and he removed some of them and said that the ones he couldn't remove might go away in time... You get what you pay for so overall im HAPPY [] JAC

yes that would be me,but i hasten to add that the 20g for me would be a 1/4 mile wish only.on the road my wrx with the vf34 will keep up with a 20g,d sti all day long.on the strip against kevametal's wrx running a 20g i was certainly left trailing. jim Sorry Jim but that wasn't you m8, its someone i know local. they are still an active member on here, but now you mention it you did say something about you liking the 20g over the vf34 at Crail.
