How are the front panels and headlamp mounting panel,coolant bottle and air con rad,as a guide i did somethin similar but a bit more to the centre and cost just shy of 4k to put everything right with full respray tho as folk have said go through the insurance route,wish i had now

best i ever got was 210 miles but i dont like it goin below a quarter tank

hmmm well my sti5 is still on its origional engine at 70k,ive had it more than a week and any damage has been caused by wet road and diesel,maybe i should just an sti9 block before its too late,but werent they 2.5l as opposed to 2.0 like the sti1-6's?

or you could buy an impreza type R lol,seriously they are good cars very underrated and it comes down to balls and driver skill on track or twisty roads a lot of folk forget,my mates LCR would eat my car across twisty backroads for 2 reasons,he spent a lot of cash on suspension,brakes and lsd mine is standard and im a s***e driver when it comes to goin fast he is not.

do they fix buckled wheels do you know,need one of mine replaced or fixed if poss

after a front end smash i need basically an new front ordered up the bits i was told i needed,xmember,slam panel,centre brace,headlight unit O/S wing O/S got it delivered and the cross member is too small looks like bit of its missing plus theres nowhere to mount the bumper or rad,does anyone have an exploded diagram or list of the bits i need or know any panel stockists cos its doin my head in and is wasting the time to get my car back,thanks

I noticed from the sig pics that most of the folk on this thread have newage/bugeye scoobs anyone found any difference on a classic especialy older one as mine still bein fixed and been so since V power was released,know i was gettin 200 a tank of bp ultimate tho,will need to wait a few weeks to find out.

One thing that has annoyed me though is the crash has shown up previous accident damage bought the car from my local subaru dealer for peace of mind etc who denied there was anythin wrong with it when questioned before my smash,and the damage is on same side,maybe just coincidence but it was poorly repaired whoever did it.plus they still havent given me the service history despite numerous calls,emails and visits etc.

Well put a new pulley on ,new belt,set up the timing and away it went,i am one lucky sod []

Tried them,they wanted nearly a grand just for the panels at the front iirc,got the panels brand new for cheaper than that

Goes from bad to worse,body wise isnt that bad,1500 to repair but the cam pulley has shattered,so dunno what to do now,probably sell as is open to offers [:'(]

Cool grey metallic,99 S reg,usual stuff,forge VTA,exhaust decat thats all i know,will find out for sure tomorro what its gonna cost to fix so will let people know who pm'd me.

Will probably have to sell it whatever happens but insurance will crucify me next year as im 25 my excess is 600 quid anyway so not worth it,mate owns a bodyshop its there now think he would do the work for me,can help out etc but dunno if i should cut my losses see what its worth as is keep the money id spend fixin it and buy somethin else.

Hit diesel in my type R comin off a roundabout,slid into a sign and hedge wasnt goin that quick thank god but decision is do i repair it or strip it,dont want to go through insurance will cost me too much in the long run needs bonnet,x member,centre brace,slam panel.rad,headlight,bumper might be salvageable is it worth it or should i sell it as damaged repairable or strip it,am gutted cos i aint had it long

its the type r,the bugeye was ok but was expectin it to be quicker,when the sti came up for sale i decided to go for it.The damage is hard to notice unless your lookin for it,my mates gonna go over it see what it needs to be done properly,goin back to the dealer cos im definately not happy.Have a years warranty from them so hopefully that has some cover but if its been done before they got it doubt it,found the last 2 owners were from rothsey and dumfries,has an SIDC sticker on the front window too,maybe someone here knows the car or the history?Cool grey sti 5 type r S***SGA is the reg.

Had my car 2 weeks now,bought from a dealer for "peace of mind" was changin side repeaters today,somethin didnt feel right,panel gap,paint feel etc,took it to my mate who owns a body shop,cars been smashed and repaired,not very well,rust bubbles startin to come through on rear quarter ,new front wing etc,when he pointed things out i could could see it,im gutted,wasnt on register and dealer said nothin,its that bad im just thinkin of gettin rid of it just feel sick now told my mate to keep it just no.Thats what happens when u trust a dealer eh

Yeah was silver,think it had air intakes on the front fog covers or somethin and a few stickers,sounded nice though,u took a run up and down about half 9 ish,a lot of the "locals" were talkin about the congregation of scoobs at pirate petes,certainly know how to cause a stir lol next time ill come say hi

Saw you all parked up looked well nice especially blue one with all yellow graphics and the wagon,think its an sti but not sure.was gonna come over but dont know any of u,was in my grey sti5 type r in convoy with R33 GTR and gold glanza.

Thats cos the grey sti is sitting in my drive lol bought it before it went on the website,sales guy made a screw up on listing it and id put deposit down before it was relisted

yeah im just gonna do basic engine upgrades,filter,exhaust,dump valve and remap,maybe FMIC but thats more for looks on my part not performance id be happy with around 260 bhp,just wanted to know the experiences of other people,you lot know what bits work and what doesnt on an impreza lol then move on to other things when i have a bit more money,respray,brakes,rear spoiler and decent seats lol
