Where did you get it fitted?
My work horse has come up for renewal. Went online to renew at the price for 6 months duty and found it had gone up online in the space of me receiving the letter last week?
Only a few quid but just found it strange. I guess it's to pay for them b*****d MP's
As ^ he said about the turbo timer. They can also void the insurance policy i believe as you are leaving the vehicle whilst it's running (although installed correctly should cut off when handbrake released)
in response to your questions.
Take it easy before you arrive at home and most of the time it's rare you'll thrash it up to the doorstep. Also I'm not sure how the timer would work on the 2002 alarm. When you arm the car it immobilises it so if the timer was set to cool down for 90 seconds or you hand an intelligent one that calculated the cool off period then as soon as you set the alarm it would cut off anyway. So standing there with the keys in your hand waiting until you can set it seems pointless to me. That was noted to me by Sigma Sam.
As for fitting the TT you normally get a harness that plugs straight in i believe.
Gauges will show you your boost pressure so as long as you learn what yours should be then you can monitor. Oil temp and Oil pressure speak for themselves
But if its fear of the engine going pop then your best bet would be to look at a Knock Link device. Basically it lisitens to the engine and you set a threshold it shows the noise in LED's via a box in the cockpit and when it reaches near the threshold it warns you in a traffic light system and audible alert.
Without seeing the front of the car is there anyway of running that flexi pipe to the front? Maybe behind a grill saves you drilling the fog cover
Until you get a FMIC the pipe and heat shield would work well together
I wouldn't know but do you want to be shielding the cone off. I agree at the moment it's taking warm air in from the engine which isn't great but with it partly covered will it be getting enough air.
I went with this to get maximum cold air might be an idea for the future

Reason i mentioned it was i was looking at doing my first run down the strip this year.
Me and a mate were already going and was after discussion with Mr D about when he was next at the Pod for some hands on advice about Launching this cropped up.
Elsewhere was £300 more.
I agree about the mods list i have no confidence in them that i am covered with the mods. So what i dont last time and will do this time is when i receive my policy through in the mods list i will write my list of mods photocopy it and send it back recorded.
I said i needed to add an Ecutek remap and APS Cold feed induction kit and seemed to make no difference. But when i mentioned i had mods they said "oh what ones" but it was said as if they were just curious so stated the 2 above to add to the list (exsisting customer) and then next thing i know was "yep all done thanks". No "is that all" or anyhting else i can help with.
I would of gone elsewhere if they were cheaper i can't justify an extra £300 just because they seem to care
Renewed with K.M as by far the cheapest although does anyone ever feel that they can't wait to get off the phone?
I agree they are very busy people and we do get a discount but every time got the impression it's "yep all done thanks, bye"
Humm will see what i can do. I am off that Friday as we go on holiday Saturday afternoon so will be over Oxford way closer to you guys be nice to catch up
