  1. Sorry, but I think to say it's a load of keek is a bit harsh.

No-one knows what kind of day they've had.

I've seen ambulance staff having a wee nap. I'd rather have them fresh if they're treating me etc.

I believe the fire service sleep on nights until they get a call.

In previous jobs I've fallen asleep on nights but no-one would complain about that.

The worst thing is getting caught.

The Power Nap. The emergency workers friend. Had quite a few in the last 25 yrs and they are invaluable, sackable or not.

  2. HR is your friend.

Ensure there are always witnesses when he brings you down and twists what you say and ensure others know beforehand what was really said.

Keep a diary of what happens and those who were present.

And when you have enough report him with your evidence. No one likes a bully and paint it like that, you are being bullied.

The secret to that approach is to have somewhere to go if it goes pete tong.

If its cured all good and well. If its not at least you have a job to go to.

I would suggest Royal Mail of Parcel farce.

Alternatively you could have him done over.

    Good luck dude

    Callum

Good advice there Grant. Bullying in the workplace is not something that is tolerated anymore.

A consultation with an employment lawyer might not go a miss. You've invested 10 yrs of your

life in that job/company, and your issues are with one individual rather than DHL. Don't throw

it away because of one A-Hole as these people just move onto the next "victim". If you take

the right course of action, he'll be the one finding it difficult to get another job.

    Good luck mate

  3. Just saw this on the P & J website - kinda says it all..............

"So the US is going to boycott Scotland and all things Scottish? Well Americans, if you could find a big box and fill it with the following and return to Scotland: All car/bicycle tyres, all telephones, televisions, fax machines, radios, postage stamps, your ultrasound and MRI scanners, bicycles, all hypodermic syringes, pennicilin, your fridges, your toilets, curling stones, your flasks, your lawnmowers, kaleidoscopes, your electric clocks, your RADAR systems, your golf clubs and all bottles of Whisky. Thanks."

    :crying:

    Magic :D

  4. Kenny, I know over the years there has been a few guy have done the Paramedic course with the Scottish Amb Service

for jobs in the Oil Industry, as Paramedic is now a protected term with affiliation to the HPC. Not sure how you're current qualifications

would apply but maybe a look at the HPC site might help?

    Cheers mate
