  1. I can tell you it is possible and there are 2 (that I know off) ways to go:

    1. Ecutek software - either through purchasing a licensed ECU or paying your chosen mapper for the license and mapped by your chosen mapper.

    2. Open Source. No license required, cheaper and very similar.

Mappers - Look up the following as I've no idea where in englandshire they are:

Simon Rowe - Jolly Green Monster

    Bob Rawle

    Paul Blamire

Scoobyclinic I believe use Pat Herborn

Andy Forrest has a very informative website and does travel, I use him and am of the opinion he's worth more than his weight in gold. Others above do also travel if needed.

I've not listed them all but I have listed the ones I've yet to hear a bad word about.

    What he said.

  2. Looking for advice from those of you better informed than myself, though I think I know what might be said.

My car is a 2006 wrx with 33000mls 22000 of wich were done in the first year. So, 7 yrs old come April the question is

Should I be getting the cambelt done despite the low mls? Andy F stage 1 is only real engine mod. With the "fling" on the horizon

and the possibility of some beans being given it is a concearn.

    Thanks in advanve chaps

  3. Looking for an older 2.5 legacy/outback, have you run one of these before and if so what did you think?

any problems, what find of mpg did you get?

looking forward to the fling, presume you'll be there.

    Cheers

yes had a 2001 2.5 gx lux manual which was also a treat to own. Averaged approx 30mpg on a 50 mile round trip commute.

I bought this car with full subaru service history and already covered 90,000 mls. 35,000 mls later only servicing done. Honestly nothing went wrong.

Just needed better economy at the time so it had to go.

And yes will def be at the fling!

  4. Yes totally agree, big thanks to Dave and everyone involved for a great weekend, safe with perfect weather.

Just wonder which bit of tarmac everyone enjoyed most though suppose it depends where you get a decent run and who is running with you at the time.

I nominate the last section into Portree with Kenny and probably Clunie dam to Loch Lochy with NKWRX though not quite so sure about leading!!!!

Don't like fast single track (especially with Skye bumps etc (we were warned), leaders nightmare I'm sure.

Yes Myles have to agree that was a great section of road and a great drive!
