About jimmyGforce

  1. Let us know how it goes.. good luck on the fix!
  2. It was about 18months ago i did it. I connected it into the ignition barrel to a connection that comes live on the click before full ignition, where everything is on the next turn starts car. Meant if you left the key in that position, the pump was pumping without the engine going, where as it normally just primes the pressure then stops till the engine starts.. No big deal as the fuel just goes in a loop i believe in that instance. Once started, the key returns the that position and the pump is always pumping anyway so no difference. Im struggling to remember exact details as too what i did as so long ago. Its quite easy to do if ok working with the electrics.
  3. I ran my P1 with a direct feed to the pump with no probs after the pump circuit on the alarm imobiliser had burned out. Was told it was quite common when tuned/larger pump running. Simptoms were car cut twice and wouldnt restart but was ok the next day (contact cooling) both times. Finally totally failed so was easier to diagnose. Imobiliser still worked also, guessed must have a 2nd circuit to imobilise the ignition...
  4. trying not to sound clueless but..... what is the significance of L555ba... ? L555bat?
  5. I'm sure i got an easy 220-250 for my sti intercooler on ebay
  6. Got mine from Hypertech. Exchange recon calipers. "think" its £150 exchange but not 100%!
  7. The p1 was a good car until big end failure put me off scoobs for life. I'v never known any other make of car to suffer catastrophic engine failure as a design problem . So many cars. Most cars engines eventually wear with a bit of smoke.slight rattles but not the Subaru! great power though but wanted comfort now i'm a bit older. Also think the bmw 2 door with the msprt kit is nicer looking than the scoob too
  8. maybe lol but i/v only owned 5 cars before and that includes a 67hp mazda, a r19 16V I crashed and a rust bucket rs / turbo! best car as in build quality and the like its a cruising m/c. total different from scoob.
  9. Nice car. After selling my P1 last month i got a 330ci msport auto. Best car i/v ever owned!
  10. I ordered a 2.5 block from them last year. In the end it took 3 months or something to arrive and that was only after i continually emailed them and threatened to get my credit card company to refund it. Stay away!!!!
  11. Think everyone was on about keeping the original bag on as it is bigger. I fitted two and always kept the original bag on. The bag isnt the fuel filter anyways. Like folk say, if the pump is priming and running then there must be a blockage somewhere.
  12. Yeah def get a running in base map i think. I got one from AndyF with my 2.5. It was free anyways so why not?!! Once run in put in better oil and another map and away you go
  13. yeah number has to be on the passenger strut. Other numbers fade but the P1 number is printed! i'm No. 969!
  14. Hi. Thats mines on here for sale. Was going great wi 60k on it and for sale till the engine started chapping! was going slow when it happened and car war was oil changed every 6k but still broke! disaster! new 2.5 block fitted now so sorted. runninbg good wi 350 bhp 370lbs/ft.
